McKinley Pick

The dude is freaking crazy. I loved it.

That interview with Deion was the single greatest thing I've ever seen happen at the nfl draft.

Time will tell if his outburst was an omen or nothing to be concerned about. As far as first impressions are concerned, I saw and felt a young man fulfill a lifelong dream and the deep love for someone who he could not share it with. Everyone is emotionally built differently. Extreme emotion can mean something detrimental. It can also mean honest passion. We'll see but it's not anything to prejudge him for at this stage. Unless you're a puritan. If so, nevermind.

I think Takk showed himself to be a knucklehead who might well allow his poor judgment to betray him in a much more damaging way.

He was unhinged and showed zero situational awareness...and completely disgraced the memory of his grandmother who DEFINITELY DIDN'T teach him to act like that...I was not impressed and am glad we didn't select him. Oh...and that fine is indeed coming (from the league and potentially the FCC)...could've probably bought a new car with the hit coming to his wallet.

I think he was overhyped, but I'm not reading anything into his outburst. I don't think it translates to anything other than he was excited he fulfilled a promise to his grandmother. It doesn't mean he's going to be better on the field any more than a quieter draft pick translates into being a poor player.

And I wish they would replace Deion as an interview on draft day. I didn't like the way he called out Takk. There are interviewing techniques you can use to quiet people without putting them on the spot like Deion did.
T1D...I thought Deion handled it well and helped to de-escalate his emotional. Why do you say he put him on the spot???

That looked like a locker room cancer with a multiple suspensions coming.

I was disappointed when his name was called, but then I was so thankful when I saw him bipolar all over himself.

I think he could have quieted him with a better question. "I know you're excited and your grandmother meant a lot to you. Tell me what your grandmother said to inspire you."
By asking the question that way, you make him subtly respond as his grandmother would have. And I can't imagine his grandmother was ranting and raving on her death bed.
The way Deion did it, he kind of chastised him. "I know you're hyped, but I want you to bring it down a little" or something he said to this effect. It just seem to me he was chastising him like a little kid.
But Deion isn't known for his interviewing skills and techniques so I guess I have to give him a slight pass. I still don't like how he interviews.

I hope so since he'll be a Falcon.
On a different notion, if I was lined up against him, I would definitely keep any comments about his grandmother on the down low.;)

Like, "Dang, dude, your grandma looks like Aunt Esther."
And please don't follow up with "You fish-eyed fool." ;) :)
