We might not even draft a DE. If we do it will be Watt.

I could see a draft with 2 CB, S, LB , TE.

Aka

King, Williams, best CB avail, Blair Brown and Kittle.

Dallas could bite the bullet and cement a new secondary and LB group if they draft Blair.

Not sure what to think.
I guarantee you 100% a DE will be drafted.

Tak 6'2 250.... Harris 6'3 250 with short arms and small hands.

I do not want to use a first on these guys in fear that they just don't have the physical ability that will ever warrant a first round pick.

Give me one of these tall corners over them any day. Some of these corners have ridiculous upside.

Yes, I predicted in another thread we would go CB in first round. Sure thing and arguably more of a need when you factor Tapper in. If the first round DE is not appreciably different/better than Tapper, we should take a CB who could be starting over Carroll at some point.

Btw, Takk has ridiculous 35" arms, so his height is actually a positive (better leverage) with those arms. And I would argue that Harris relies more on his athleticism in bending underneath OTs or spinning around them, rather than locking out with his arms. But of course you need those long arms sometimes to keep the OTs hands off you.

It's simple
If the DE is the BPA at 28 take him.
If a a CB is the BPA at 28 take him.

If BPA is equal between DE and CB you take the DE. An improved pass rush improves the secondary by default.
Kill two birds with one stone.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I wish I were that confident.

I can completely see them looking at this DE group and rationalizing "not any better than Tapper" and completely bomb their number one need.

Remember, that is a pretty full DL meeting room after all.

If we go DE I hope it's Charlton if the pick is between Takk, Harris, and Charlton.

I think he has the size and speed to impose his will better then the other 2 and just more upside.

Give me the guy with the elite physical attributes and let's hope 2 or 3 years from now you can mold that into an elite player.
In this defense Charlton is a SDE. Which i kinda like because that would allow them to move Irving inside.

With Charlton this would be my ideal DL

Charlton | Irving | Collins | Lawrence
Tapper | Paea | Thornton | Mayowa/Moore

Then later in the yr you add in Crawford, i dont think he starts the yr active. PUP

SEA also used Moore at the 3tech. Think if Moore can get in and focused and learn from Marinelli he could be something on this team.

I agree with you Alexander.

I've seen people preaching for multiple draft picks on the defensive line.

I believe we take one guy, maybe two tops.

We have tons of quantity, but that's how Rod likes it.

Lawrence, Mayowa, Tapper, Moore, Irving, Paea, Thornton, Collins, Crawford. I see one, maybe two spots possibly open.

That doesn't include boneheaded Gregory.

It's getting to the point of over analyzation. There is simply NO WAY we don't address the pass rush.
