So Murray is calling up the Chipster now?

Is he trying to convince Chip to sign him to a big contract?

Seems a little desperate in my opinion, calling up another team's head coach and basically begging for a contract.

I would say that's bull.

I'd lower my offer if I was Dallas. Murray has shown his hand. I think everyone in the NFL knew that a 400 touch season was killing Murray's market other than Murray himself.

I agree. It makes me wonder if JJ should move on from him at this point. He is obviously butt hurt about it all... to some extent - its understandable, but come on. Calling folks directly asking for a job or trying to convince them. Outside of Cromartie-types, haven't heard that done in awhile.

If Murray called the Eagles the Cowboys should declare themselves out of the running for Murray. McClain and Church are waiting for your backstabbing, fumbling *** in the gap Murray.

I wouldn't buy into this. He has an agent. unless he's been spotted in Philly shopping for a house.

That one is a fake Chris Mortensen account.

It also "reported" that Jimmy Graham was traded from Seattle to Dallas for Dez Bryant yesterday.

Haha that Keith Mullins guy was trying to be cool and he's tweeting at a fake Mort.

I've always been a Murray fan. He's a great talent, does it all, however he is injury prone and fumble prone. Plus, he may be good for the next season or two, but years 3 and 4 I'd be concerned about, just like the Barber deal. I'm okay with Murray staying for $4-5 million/year on a 3 year deal. But beyond that, I'm okay letting him go. Great running backs are hard to fine but very few RBs can run well without a great O-line. Draft a RB, develop him as a replacement, and continue to use the money to fix the defense and draft well. This team will be fine. I'm liking the way the Cowboys are operating now (last 1-2 years). Now just resign Dez.

Eagles just signed Mathews and they clearly are not looking to spend a lot. I am sure they will still consider him but I doubt Murray ends up in Philly now.

@mortreport: DeMarco Murray renewed Eagles' interest w personal call to Chip Kelly; not just spread offense ran at Oklahoma; Sam Bradford's roommate, too

@mortreport: Murray's obstacle with the Eagles would remain obvious; as Kelly noted in press conference, he's not going to overpay anyone.

How long before Fisher responds with some snarky tweet of his own..

Beat me to it. He is in full on annoying mode now. I almost want Murray to sign elsewhere just so he'll have to put his tail between his legs.
