Micah, can you just be a bit more humble?

Let the youth today be clowns as much as they want. Entertaining to watch. Very telling of the lack of discipline being raised.

Ali used to do the same type thing while he was dominating his generation. This type of thing is hardly new and neither is your response to it.
Ali had much more control on the outcome of his boasts. He could even predict the round an opponent would go down in early on. Micah's dependent upon 52 other players and the football gods being kind.

I know one thing...the gods don't like to be taunted.

Karma and the notion of some deity controlling outcomes is just copium. When he cannot back up his word let me know.

...and stop commenting on social media about work-related issues? Every other day, there's a new story about what Micah has to say about whoever/whatever. Wish he would just shut up and play football, which - undeniably - he does extremely well. I just think he puts a lot of bad karma out there.
Praise Baby Jesus there was no social media in the 90s :lmao: :lmao:

No, it isn’t new, but Ali is more of an exception than a rule. There’s ALWAYS been disrespectful youth. The percentages are simply higher now. Virtually EVERYONE sees themselves as special.

What is “disrespectful” about any of this?

If you expect these men to stand with their hat in hand, eyes down, saying yes sir and no sir, you’re about five decades late.

should they “know their place?”

If you don't follow Parsons on social media, you won't be aware of his commentary, reactions, etc.
Cut links to other fans who follow him and send the information to you.
I would never know what was said on social media unless I see it on here.

However, it has its place. It is how we find out news and info now days. Trades, released and signed players, injuries, Jerry sound bites.
So it has its place as you and we all know. But yeah, can be a lot of dumb stuff also, and not just sports.

Not at all. Confidence is cool, but we’re talking extremes here. Using animal dominance hyperbole and strutting and dancing and proclaiming themselves like some type of god is extreme. Conversely, 40’s style “yes Suh”, “no Suh” is comical too. Where’s the middle ground?

It’s like those guys that score a TD, then follow with a long, choreographed dance recital. Be gracious and dignified, and act like you’ve been there before, ya know?

Generational talent is hardly ever humble, especially in this entitled delusional era.

That's not true. Jack Johnson talked his talk, Muhammed Ali talked his talk, Lawrence Taylor, etc etc. It's not just this generation.

In 1993, Johnson delivered another memorable phrase that has stood the test of time. Before the two met for a second consecutive NFC Championship, Johnson called a local sports radio show and made an unprecedented declaration. "We will win the ballgame,'' Johnson stated."You can put that in three-inch high headlines.

Just think if social media was out back then.

This sounds like delusional entitlement right here. 1)It’s only a game. 2)Everything is tenuous and temporary. 3)We’re all flesh and blood. Kindness, respect and empathy matter.
He’s been doing this since week 3 of his rookie season, this is who he is, therefore this is who the cowboys are. Kindness and empathy do not belong in professional football I will ignore that you even wrote that.

Parsons is the man. He gets to do what he wants. Everyone needs to learn to deal with it.
