The 21-year-old grew up a lot closer to Eagles and Steelers country in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, but both of his parents were Cowboys fans. Friday, he'll fly down to The Star to make his dream official. When he spoke to Jerry Jones on the phone just after being drafted, he had a pretty clear message for the man who is counting on him to help turn around his defense.

"I [told him] 'This is all I ever wanted.'"

Looks like Parsons family raised their boy right. lol

This thread is totally unnecessary. Players are paid to be professional athletes and be devoted to the team that hired them. Micah Parsons has lived up to that standard and has played injured despite his having been born and bred in the Pennsylvania area. It's perfectly natural for him to appreciate the place of his birth and, also, his upbringing. It's also natural for him to be quite devoted to the team he plays for. I see it as a non-issue.

Some don't get Risen's sense of humor. Some don't want it.

On draft he said "I'm gonna cry if it's Dallas" so he wanted to be a Cowboy and he is. Happy tears. He is where he always wanted to be.

You know, that can be taken negatively. I think Eli did cry when it was San Diego.

2:30 mark of the video. Micah shows his true colors. Talking about his love for Philly, being neutral on the rivalry and then when a reporter says well Philly fans are pretty feisty, Micah says well Cowboys fans are feisty too.

Then later at the 4:40 mark he talks about his good friendship with Eagles OT Lane Johnson.

This is a pretty disgusting interview overall and I know you're feeling the same way about it too.

No team loyalty. Just a rent-a-player.

Damone Clark would never do this.

This is horrible! What was Jerry thinking drafting a guy from Pennsylvania anyway?

What next? Will we find out CeeDee Lamb once vacationed in Washington and enjoyed touring the capital building and Mike McCarthy enjoyed a Broadway play and lunch at Tavern on the Green?

This team is doomed!

Very impressive interview, Micah is wise beyond his years, quite nice to see someone so intelligent with the press. When his playing days are over I see a big gig in one of the network shows. The kid was raised right, props to mom!

I guess you missed my happy tears comment. You know what he meant, LOL. You could see him squirming when other teams were on the clock and he was so relieved when the Cowboys called.

Dallas has some of the best draft reactions: Parsons' relief, CeeDee's phone, Dez's moment and was it Mukuamu who cried like a baby? Great moments.

I could care less what he says. As long as he does job on the field. If he gives us another 2 sack , ff, fr game he can be as neutral as he wants. I'll take that over DLaw talking mess and laying an egg on Sunday. Talk is cheap, show me results.
