"I don't want to hold anybody up. I want to see some of these (free agents) back in this locker room. We have a great opportunity. I want to see change. I want to see players here. I want to be as aggressive as we can be. I don't want to be a headache to nobody."
I want to be the highest paid non QB in NFL History by a WIDE margin, fully guaranteed, without actually looking like I want to be the highest paid non QB in NFL history by a wide margin, fully guaranteed

I don't see where he says anything about helping pay for it. On the other hand, he didn't mention anything owing loyalty to the brotherhood of DE's either.

I hope you’re right.
Would love to hear him say, “ Jerry, I’ll take 20 million per year, take the rest and get me a bookend”
Do you think it’s realistic to expect him to take 57% of what Nick Bosa is making?

This is his first time coming off a rookie contract. This is the time that every star athlete looks forward to from the day they are drafted.

This is not Brady or Rodgers on their fourth or fifth contract trimming a bit off a deal, long after they’ve already achieved every possible professional and monetary goal.

I mean, seriously. Would you ever discount your life’s work like that?

....wouldn't that mean Mr. Lamb too?
Sure he didn’t give much of a hometown discout, but he didn't become the highest paid WR when he signed, so he didn't really push for the "brotherhood" either. Especially since he is closer to being one of the best WR's in the league than Dak is at QB. And everyone, including Dak if he's being honest, knows that.

So to me, no really. (IMHO of course)

Cowboys DE Micah Parsons said there's no question he wants to remain in Dallas. "I called upon the star. I landed on it, and I'm grateful. I feel like I got one of the best jobs in America."

Parsons on wanting to get his next contract done as soon as possible:

"I don't want to hold anybody up. I want to see some of these (free agents) back in this locker room. We have a great opportunity. I want to see change. I want to see players here. I want to be as aggressive as we can be. I don't want to be a headache to nobody."

Micah wanted a legit DT last year. How did that work out?

Be aggressive and trade him
For what? What in the world do you think old *** Jerry will do with all of these draft picks? 1 DT who was listed as a 3rd rounder, 1 tackle who came off of two season ending knee surgeries, 1 RB, and a 4th round WR, and we'll be back here next year after a 4-13 season and close to last in sacks.

I really respect this. This is what a leader does. He's their best player. He's got a platform. He's trying to do what he can do to bring change and he's even willing to sacrifice some to help pay for it.

Well done, Micah Parsons.
Leader, indeed. Also, rare.

Then tell your buddies Dak and CD to take a pay cut.

This puts some low boil pressure on JJ… the player wants to sign, the player wants to win, and the player has indirectly called out the inactivity last offseason as an issue.

The pressure is on JJ to do his job and position this team for a bounce back year. The hate will continue to mount until JJ actually makes some positive changes and additions.

He is stubborn, but he is also a narcissist. It has to be driving him crazy that the media and fanbase are ripping him a new one and blaming him 100% for this latest crapfest.

He needs a cap calculator.

even if they extend him before March, it’s not enough $$$.

there is a ton of dead, void, and Dak money on the 2026 cap.

As much hate as Parsons has gotten for expressing himself, he's doing us a huge favor.

Him calling out the need to be aggressive and signing for less puts the onus on management to follow through.

We all know Jerry is planning on using Parsons contract as an excuse to be dormant again in FA.
