There’s going to be a point where he’s going to want out because we are afraid to shake the status quo and I can’t quite say I blame him. Nevertheless I’m glad someone with some real weight in the organization isn’t afraid to speak their mind
Same, and I can't understand why Jerry is so adverse to taking risks at FA. The cap is going up annually. We need help at some key positions, and having some FAs to help would be crucial. Especially getting to the SB.

Hes not wrong! We supposedly had interest but wouldn't part with a 3? Smh.

Exactly, and especially with the fact that Jaylon and Diggs would've made an insane duo at CB, with Bland as well. We could rotate them like we do at WR. Essentially, a WR might not know who's covering him until they break the huddle. Advantage CB in that situation.

Old people are always gonna prove they are old people. Getting tired of hearing him speak truth? Now you’re tired of him because he calls out the BS? Maybe if Jerry hears it from his “War Daddy” he will know all of us are right .
And, if not, then he's not going to put up with it like DWare did. Jerry better play ball if he wants to take advantage of having one of the best defencive players in the league. If not, then Parsons is going to want out if he sees that this franchise isn't going to win him a Lombardi.

The Cowboys are not making that trade, but it has nothing to do with free agency, the draft pick, or perceived value. It is 100% about salary and only having the player for 1 year at that big salary before losing him or breaking the bank. Every team has a salary structure. If Ramsey doesn’t fit in our salary structure by position, then no way we’d be able to resign him. We may not like it, but giving up a 3rd rounder for a 1 year rental or resigning Ramsey and possibly not being able to resign Lamb or Diggs or Parsons…..it maybe just doesn’t make sense.
He has 3 years left on his deal

My question to this is how do you think we can afford him? Never mind the draft picks. That is the easy part but how do we afford him and keep everyone happy and under the cap?

We just created space with three different contract restructures. We can afford him if we wanted to. As for extending him, who cares about that if we win the SB? With a guy like Parsons, wed have a three player force at CB with him, Diggs, and Bland. If we can then parlay it with an OT, a NT, and a WR, and we could be real contenders. Teams wouldn't be able to pass on us. Teams would struggle to run with an outstanding NT. And then fit in a top WR, and we could possibly win it all. If we can't afford him beyond that, ok, then we get a comp picks. No loss there.

Nope. That was my same reaction.
We could have fixed the 2016 mistake. It's bordeline idiotic that we couldn't trade a third for him.
I can't believe we didnt trade for him or Roquan smith last year.
Our GM is asleep at the wheel. We cannot be successful longterm , and it shows over the past 27 years. The front office should be exploring every avenue to improve the team.

I can't wait until Micha calls out Jerry on social media.

Frankly, it's at a point where I question if the FO even cares anymore. Honestly, do they actually care about winning the Super Bowl? This was the opportunity to make our secondary the most feared in the league. Even if Ramsey isn't what he once was, he'd have Diggs and Bland as his cohorts at CB. He would be able to get back to insane levels with us. Especially with what Quinn would do with him. We'd essentially be a team where passing on us is not an option. Then, as stated, getting a NT would mean that running on us wouldn't be possible either. Guess what that means?

The main question is how much does Jalen Ramsey have left as a TOP CORNER?? Apparently, the Rams feel his best days are well behind him..
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-miami-dolphins-trade-jalen-ramsey-los-angeles-rams

Since entering the league in 2016, Ramsey has the highest PFF grade, highest PFF coverage grade and highest PFF run-defense grade among all cornerbacks.

Highest-graded CBs in the NFL since 2016

PlayerPFF Grade
Jalen Ramsey92.6
Stephon Gilmore91.5
Casey Hayward Jr.91.3
Jaire Alexander90.7

Perhaps, but with the salary cap, I still think it's doable. Plus, I'd be fine with it being a 1 year rental. Besides, if we can't extend him, then we get a comp pick for him. So, we could possibly be trading a 3rd for him and a possible future 3rd. Plus, it comes with the added bonus of our secondary becoming a shutdown secondary.

This is ridiculous . . . still would recoup a 4th or 5th after free agency

Ramsey Diggs And Micah is down right scary . . add a Wagner and Mediocre Dak could do His best Trent Dilfer impersonation

That and getting a NT like Clark in the draft along with a WR and OT in the draft means that our team would have had it's biggest holes filled. Problem is, Jerry can't seem to understand that now is when we need to go all in. We have the team, imo, if he will take a few chances. I'd rather him take quality chances like this and fail than not try. At least then I can defend it saying that he at least tried.

Some just want to blame the FO....if we had given a 2nd round pick, they would have critized that.

For me, I wouldn't. I would say that Jerry took a quality chance on a player that I think makes a lot of logical sense. If it doesn't work, then, ok, at least we tried. That's my opinion on that.

Yeah, play ball by getting the hades out of the way and letting a football guy take over. Jerry has proven beyond any doubt whatsoever that he is not capable of forming a super bowl roster.

Oh, and I was against us trading for Ramsey. 20 mil too much for any CB.

If Jerry cared about winning, he would not be GM. It's no more complicated than that.

No, we can't afford him. Why? Because we are not one CB away from contention. His salary would be better spent elsewhere, while getting a nice CB in the 3rd.
