No, once you've moved on, you've moved on. If you go back, you look like an idiot. Ask Matt Leinart. Plus, they're not as accessible. That's the great thing about a college campus, they're full of college chicks. :laugh2:
I know what they are full of, I live on one ;)

He looks like a great one for sure, but there is another one coming behind him.

Julio Jones, from Alabama, is for real.

By the way, I like Alabama to beat Florida.

You got that right. The first time I saw him play, I said I hope he becomes a Cowboy. Good, real good.

By my logic, he needs to be a senior in order to graduate. He's going to be a junior, and I don't think there is any way he is going to go back for his senior.

He'll probably graduate at some point like a lot of athletes do, but he's going to be a professional football player when he does it anyways.

He will indeed be a junior next year, but you are forgetting he redshirted his freshman year, so logically, next year would be his fourth year on campus...

He red shirted as a Freshman. So this is his 3rd year of College. He might be able to graduate.

Also, some people are just plain smart. Take Josh Pastner who played basketball here at Arizona. He got his Bachelor's degree in 2.5 years and in another 1.5 years he got his Masters.

Anyone who thinks we need another top 15 WR pick in the next 2 years draft is clueless.

Screw what we need. That's where we've failed. If Crabtree is the best player available take him. I don't care if we take a quarterback. If he's the best guy available we need to get him. The Cowboys didn't take a turn from being bad until they stopped that crap about going after what they needed. Drafting Shante Carvers and Ebenezer Ekuban's in the 1st round. We had pro bowlers at the corner spot and running back spot but we still drafted Choice, Felix, Scandrick and Jenkins. Looks almost genius now huh?

I hope he enjoys his 1st 4 years as a Detroit Lion. And No - The Cowboys are not going to trade a draft to move up to the 1-2 or 3 spot in order to pick Crabtree.

You do that for a QB not a WR.

Someone said the whole Detroit thing the other day - it was funny, so I felt it was appropriate here. :D

GG to that gi.

Yea, 'cept your inane takes on Reggie McNeal and his prospects as an NFL player from a few years back, automatically render your opinion's worthless.

That could actually be a good reason to come out this year, no way does Detroit draft a WR this year after their recent fiascos.

I think he is dumb for staying another year at Tech. He's not going to graduate, Tech isn't going to win a national championship any time soon...whats the point?

The point may be a few millions of dollars. If he declares this year, he may be a mid first round pick. If he stays another year at tech and continues to put up numbers (which I suspect he will), he'll probably solidify himself as a top 5 (if not top 3) in the 2010 draft.

Once a kid plays his last college game, it's all business and dollars.

On the flip side, he could suffer a catastrophic injury or play poorly. It is a risk, but I think he's making the right move from a business standpoint.

Personally, I'd rather have Dez Bryant

Drafting a wr from Okie state is like drafting a RB from Michigan.

Just stay away...

He needs someone to advise him. An education is a great thing. It changes you. But if the CBA goes away and/or rookie wage scales are ushered in then he may screw himself. Does it possibly change in 2010 or the year after?

His stock isn't going to get any higher than it already is. He's top 5, probably top 3, as it is. DET having the 1st overall pick won't hurt him, as I don't think he's the best prospect in the draft. When the season's over, I'd be surprised if he didn't declare. He's done all he can at Texas Tech. They're not poised to win a national championship next year, and I think honestly that Leach is going to go somewhere else (just think he'll want a new challenge). I just can't see anything that's going to keep him in the league. Recent experience shows that when you're a top pick, your best bet is to go early. Look at Leinhart. He would've been #1 but dropped after he was exposed his senior year. I don't think that'll happen to Crabtree, but he'd be dumb to take the risk.

Jones will run this team into the ground if he keeps chasing primadonna WRs instead of building the team from the inside out.

Primadonna???? You're nuts! This kid is the real deal....he will start for whatever team he plays for from day one. He has his head on straight also...when he was at Carter and guys would be at a party and bring out the "hoochie" stuff he would leave.

This kid is a beast....he runs the slant better than any player in the NFL today. He is the next Michael Irvin, but with speed. Watch tape on him...he snags the ball out of the air, he does'nt wait for it to come to him.

Best receiver I've seen in college since Randy Moss....that goes for Fitzgerald, and Calvin Johnson.

you might wan't to wait before calling him the 2nd coming. He's probably the best WR prospect I've seen in a long time, but to say he'll be the next Irvin is ridiculous. Charles Rodgers might have been the most impressive WR I've ever watched, and we saw how that turned out. And you can't say that was simply a character thing. Kid had all the ability, but the injuries derailed his whole career.

I feel your love for him but he could use some size. Another year in college might do that for him. Still if I thought I was a real top five or even ten pick I'd worry about getting hurt or just having an off year for whatever reason. Or them putting a rookie pay scale in.

The last I heard they were talking about changing the top 15 picks and locking them into a predeterminded salary. It's similiar to what the NBA did.
