As for "disrespecting the star," guys, get over it.

That Star is no more sacred than Holy water.

If TO could keep his behavior in check (which I doubt), and he was available in free agency, Jerry Jones would let him sleep on the Star as long as he's scoring TDs and bringing fans (money) into the stadium. Heck, if he helped Dallas win a Super Bowl, Jones might even let him initial it. ;)

Offensively we'd be basically unstoppable with TO, just look at it...........Pro Bowl WR in TO, Pro Bowl TE in Jason Witten, Julius Jones, Drew Bledsoe, Terry Glenn, Keyshawn Johnson and Patrick Crayton. Not to forget Larry Allen, Flozell Adams, and a couple other additions that will fix our o line to give Bledsoe time..........Thats UNSTOPPABLE!!!!

SO YES, IF HE KEEPS IS MOUTH SHUT!!!!!!!!!!

that is exactly the reason I'm glad Parcells is here...... I think he keeps JJ from making those bonehead decisions.

........and yes, bringing TO in would be a bonehead move. I don't believe TO has changed his ways. He's still all about TO.....

I think if Parcells really does not want it to happen it wont. I don't see Jerry driving out another top HC because of one player, unless Jimmy Johnson is willing to take over.

and this my friends is why we will never understand why muslims were made that we flushed a "book" down the tolet, but don;t care when peopel are killed.

See everything are objects. But we as humans apply MEANING to objects that FAR FAR OUT wya what the objects practil value is.

For example in marlobo man movie the dude kept wearing broken boots and havign to tap them up with duct tape. Reason being his farther gave him those boots. Therefore the object that was worthless to other people was the most valuable thing he owned. Same thing as I have a 1964 plymoth signet convertable that was given to be when i was in elementray school people ask about buying it but i tell them you don't want to buy the car for what I am asking for it. Simply it is worth more to me then other people. Keep in mind I am 21 and I haven't driven since the last hour needed to get my license s when 16. I hate driving but I don;t plan to sell car.

POint being that humans inject into objects meaning and the object transends the pysical world into a emootinal and mental world. People will react emootinal in crazy ways because of this.

That being said the star isn't just a star painted ont he grass that can be removed and repainted. It emboddies everything about freeedom, justice, love, championships. It is the blood, sweat, tears, history of the rgeatest team that ever was. It is the symbol of Americas Team. It is what peopel are willing to die for. When you disrepspect the star you show you have no honor. You cannot respect things other peoepl value. If you cannot respect the star how can you play for it. How can fans accept you.

For example people don't to receite the songs of other national teams songs when another country wins a computition, but the stand up for it and don't spit on it.

Doesn't matter if you are a drug dealer, a coach that carries a gun into an airport, if you have a shaarpie in your shoe, if you killed someone. But if you siresepct all that is holy and write in america the Dallas Cowboy star. :star:
then there is no spot even on our practice sqaud for you adn there shoudln;t even be a spot on our rivals practce squad for you.

I think T.O. goes to Denver, possibly even traded there for one of their backup RB's and a mid-round pick. Philly needs a RB who can split the load with Westbroken.

Philly would like to make sure Owens doesn't haunt them on a regular basis.

Philly might like to trade him, but there is the matter of a roster bonus due in March when he's due a $5 million. Might be pretty hard to effect a trade before the draft. Also, Terrell will pretty much dictate where he will go, just like he did with Baltimore and Philadelphia.

Philly ought to be pretty happy with their running back situation. They have a rookie doing well, and also a first year player whose name escapes me. Denver's back won't be in high demand in Philly.

what makes anyone think that both Keyshawn and Terry will bother sticking around if they sign TO?

We are not a game changing receiver away from being in the Superbowl. He might not be flashy, but Glenn is an amazing deep threat, a guy with speed and excellent hands. And all Keyshawn has done week in and week out is win more and more fans as he plays his butt off and is the most clutch player I can recall (meaning not only does he routintely make spectacular catches, I never see him drop easy ones).

What we really are is a solid offensive line away, and a solid free safety away. I think Roy has had a good year, he's made some pretty huge plays, its just mixed in with some screw ups that I'm sure every player makes, but gets pointed out more for him. But he is still a shade under what he was when he was a rookie, when he just terrorized teams, caused havoc, turnovers. I think a good FS pulls him closer to the line.

My guess is next year we go from a solid D to a more attacking pressure D, I think Burnett will come up big in that regard next year. Those are the things that will push this team to a superbowl in the next two years. Longer term than that we will have hopefully have built up the young guys you are speaking of.

But for anyone to suggest it is Terry or Keyshawn, those guys routintely make 10+ yard catches at clutch times. But to have all three of them exist peacefully, not likely.

If TO ever steps foot into the Lone Star State, all my Cowboys jerseys, football cards, memorabilia, etc will get the same treatment my Dixie Chicks CDs a couple of years ago-they will be TORCHED.

Why do you guys want this guy?

If they come up with Day to Day Contract fine...if not...let's pass and draft one if we want one so bad..

I would venture to say that Philly will either play him (unlikely) or cut him. I don't think there will be too many teams that will bargain because they all know that Philly will HAVE to cut him to avoid cap as well as real money loss. Why trade when you can make a new contract other than TRYING to avoid maore competition. Guys like Owens won't play for just any team. There are enough good teams that will pay-he won't jump on the first shiny lure. Cowboys? I think Jerry will make a play for him if he's cut, but I wouldn't bet on a trade with Philly.

I would only want him to a one year contract. It seems he can behave himself for one year then the wheels fall off.

True.

Let me ask you all this.

Okay, so Parcells cant handle a 20 something year old kid that has potential and doesnt have the skins on the wall (Bryant)

But he can handle a 30 something Owens who has the Skins on the wall?

I took 2nd grade twice...so I know that doesnt add up.

Let's pass on Owens and grab a guy in the 2nd Round with speed.

One of the reasons that Bledsoe gets sacked for holding the ball too long even when given plenty of time its because none of his receivers get open. I love Glenn and Key but they don't consistently get open. Glenn has been getting doubled and in plenty of those games has been a non-factor. Key is just too slow to get open thats why he is a possesion receiver.

With T.O he wouldn't get sacked as much as he does because he would get rid of it quickly to T.O who knows how to get open even when double teamed or to Glenn who 1 on 1 is almost always gonna be a mismatch. Then with those 2 two getting all the attention, then Key is gonna be a big mismatch to whoever tries to guard him.

Now the obvious problem is getting him to behave and I don't expect him to be a saint all of a sudden with the Cowboys but with Parcells i'm sure he would behave a lot better than he would with any other team because he would respect Parcells unlike his other 2 previous coaches. Parcells would not back down to T.O and if he sees T.O is gonna be a big problem then he would cut him in a flash. I just think with a player of his skills you have to take a chance and he already has 2 strikes and I truly believe one more problem to a team and he is out of the NFL. T.O knows that
