T.O. is a trouble maker, no doubt about that, but when it comes to business who isn't...

Take for example, I challenge any body on this website to know that, yall wouldn't take less pay for more work...

Yall would either go, or be furious if you can't...

Hold on a minute here....let's stop and think about this.

Okay, check this out...

1st - Terrell Owens was told by the NFLPA not to sign that contract it was bad and Owens did it anyway.

2nd - Okay, Owens came to the Eagles as the Best receiver in football (debatable but he is one of them). The onous is on you and your agent to make sure a team is going to pay you like you are the best Wide Receiver in the business...you settle for anything else that is on you.

Say you are the BEST scientist in the world working for Company A. Company B is interested in your services. Now who is it up to, to make SURE, Company B pays you like you are the BEST scientist in the world?

I dont feel sorry for Owens in this regards.

Oh and another thing that speaks volumes about how stupid he is with regards to money. Let's think about the agent he had before Drew Rosenhaus was the one that missed the date to file the papers to make him a FA in San Francisco.

Okay, after T.O. got his way and was able to go to the Eagles. He was on Best Damn Sports Show Period with this agent. Now they asked him, "How much money did not filing the papers on time cost you"? Owens said that it had cost him a couple million dollars.

I dont know about you, I would NEVER EVER be hugged up with anybody that just cost me that kind of money....neeeeeevvvvver.

The way I look at it is...I think of Owens just like I did Deion.

When Deion played for Atlanta and especially San Fran...I hated him with a passion.

He was a showboat and cocky...But he was Great and when he became a Free agent I wanted him Bad!

I know Deion wasn't the disruption that Owens is but they both are great talents and can change the game for you.

I hate Owens...But he is great and could really help the Cowboys in a area where they really need it.

Protect yourself in the contract and if he acts up...Do what the Eagles did.

For some reason I think Owens will control himself for the most part...This year had to humble him somewhat...If not then he'll be in the same trouble again.

I don't see it happening.

1. Parcells has said he's too old to put up with knuckleheads and TO is one.
2. He got rid of Bryant because if his attitude and his attitude is no where as big as TO's.
3. Parcells will not get rid of Keyshawn.
4. Anyone who thinks TO is going to sign a 1 yr incentive based contract is nuts. He wants to be paid like the #1 wr in football. If he didn't he'd stay in Philly.
5. We don't need another aging wr. Draft a wr and let him grow in to the system.
6. We have a very young core of players that do not need to be around TO and his attitide.
7. He's helped destroy the morale of every team he's been on and it will not change.

Who knows what will happen? I'll be interested to watch it unfold though...

I do think that TO could help this team, and I don't think he's quite the cancer that some have made him out to be. I honestly think I'd take him.

All TO has ever wanted IMO, is to be on a team with a good QB, and get paid for his services. Meaning (if you're the best at what you do, then you should be paid like it)

None of you would work for less money and you're the best in your company. The problem is, he hasn't met BP or JJ.

2 of the best at making Super Stars feel comfortable and at ease.

JJ would pay TO anything he wanted, "IF" He closed his mouth and Played football. BP would learn everything about him and his family, and thus TO would trust him and look to him as a father figure.

This is TO's last chance to get a big pay day. But it's going to cost him one year of being cool/calm/ and GREAT to get that big deal. We have everything TO has wanted here in Dallas.

1. A Hollywood franchise with a Bank Account that's unlimited.
2. A really good accurate QB with the supporting cast to keep him from being double teamed. With the up grading of the OLine, JJones and Terry Glenn would have to be accounted for leaving TO to roam the field.
3. A legitimate super bowl contender after this offseason. (Our defense is an ILB & FS away from destroying people) Our OLine is TAckle/Center/Guard and a T.O. away from being a score at will offense.

If he says anything about a player/coach/FO personell in public, if he disrespects the rules of the team (miss practice, stuff like that), he's cut and loses most of his signing bonus. And no team would touch him with a 100 foot pole after the Cowboys.

If he is a model citizen and helps us to the Super Bowl or close to it, this is what you gain.

Everyone would want this guy and would be willing to take on a huge trade for him. You make a sign and trade, Putting his salary at the top and giving him a 4 year deal. A team would give you possibly a 1 and defenitely a 2 and a player for a guy that proved that he can be a good guy and that he is dominant.

If he doesn't pull it off, it will truly attract other FA's in that they know that JJ will take a chance on greatness, and that he will pay you goooood. But if you have to cut him, you lose very little.

Let's get er done Jerry.

See everything are objects. But we as humans apply MEANING to objects that FAR FAR OUT wya what the objects practil value is.

For example in marlobo man movie the dude kept wearing broken boots and havign to tap them up with duct tape. Reason being his farther gave him those boots. Therefore the object that was worthless to other people was the most valuable thing he owned. Same thing as I have a 1964 plymoth signet convertable that was given to be when i was in elementray school people ask about buying it but i tell them you don't want to buy the car for what I am asking for it. Simply it is worth more to me then other people. Keep in mind I am 21 and I haven't driven since the last hour needed to get my license s when 16. I hate driving but I don;t plan to sell car.

POint being that humans inject into objects meaning and the object transends the pysical world into a emootinal and mental world. People will react emootinal in crazy ways because of this.

That being said the star isn't just a star painted ont he grass that can be removed and repainted. It emboddies everything about freeedom, justice, love, championships. It is the blood, sweat, tears, history of the rgeatest team that ever was. It is the symbol of Americas Team. It is what peopel are willing to die for. When you disrepspect the star you show you have no honor. You cannot respect things other peoepl value. If you cannot respect the star how can you play for it. How can fans accept you.

For example people don't to receite the songs of other national teams songs when another country wins a computition, but the stand up for it and don't spit on it.

Doesn't matter if you are a drug dealer, a coach that carries a gun into an airport, if you have a shaarpie in your shoe, if you killed someone. But if you siresepct all that is holy and write in america the Dallas Cowboy star. :star:
then there is no spot even on our practice sqaud for you adn there shoudln;t even be a spot on our rivals practce squad for you.

I wish you considered the English language as sacred as you do the Cowboys star. ;)

The last time Jerry listened to a player we gave 2 first round picks for Joey Galloway.

If you think Michael Irvin has ANY INFLUENCE WHATSOEVER ON CONVINCING PARCELL AND/OR JERRY JONES OF ANYTHING then you live in a fantasy world.

Some of the stuff you guys come up with is just flat out ridiculous.

Do you really think that a filthy rich and educated NFL owner and a legendary, successful and very intelligent Head Coach are going to listen to an ex-crackhead about anything?

wow.

Theres a reason some people are owners, some are coaches, and some are players.

Dont you think you are taking this a bit personal?

You know the Prophet Paul, who's writings and teachings make up about 80% of the New Testament use to hunt down Christians before he converted to Christianity himself.

You do also know that many rich and powerful people in the entire world do drugs as well?

Weird...

Oh and for the Zealots that will respond..Heck no am I trying to compare Mike I to Paul, but trying to draw an analogy.

Next Bible Study Lesson coming next week, stay tuned...

1. Parcells has said he's too old to put up with knuckleheads and TO is one.
Parcells has also said he knows how to handle the "squeeky wheels"

Now he really doesn't know TO, so this is probably the biggest problem.

2. He got rid of Bryant because if his attitude and his attitude is no where as big as TO's.
He got rid of Bryant because his production sucked. He dropped balls and freelanced routes.

HIs mouth was a convenient by-product.

3. Parcells will not get rid of Keyshawn.
He already did once.

4. Anyone who thinks TO is going to sign a 1 yr incentive based contract is nuts. He wants to be paid like the #1 wr in football. If he didn't he'd stay in Philly.
I want to be paid with a multi-year contract amounting to the #1 paycheck for every WR in football too.

I figure we both have the same chance of that happening after what went down this year.

5. We don't need another aging wr. Draft a wr and let him grow in to the system.
Agreed.

6. We have a very young core of players that do not need to be around TO and his attitide.
Even better reason.

7. He's helped destroy the morale of every team he's been on and it will not change.

He typically behaves his first year, so if Jerry wants to try and finagle a one year deal I might be able to live with it. ANything over that is dumb, and I'll laugh at the team who gives it to him.

Hey, look at the bright side. If Parcells wasn't here Jerry would *already* have sent Philly two #1 picks for TO.....

Did anyone see Monday night countdown last night???

IF not, there was a segment with Michael Irvin and Mike Ditka. When the host asked Irvin if Parcells is going to retire he started laughing and said no he is not going to retire.

Irvin went on to say that the Cowboys are 1 or 2 players away from being in the superbowl and then said "one T.O." from being in the superbowl.

He said that Terrell Owens will be in Dallas next year and they will be in the superbowl next season.

When the host continued asking about where he thinks T.O. will play, Michael Irvin started laughing with this "I know something but I cannot tell you" look then said he has already started training for next year and he will come in and play and be just fine.

I really got the feeling that Irvin knows more than he is saying. He is CLOSE friends with T.O. and I can see him playing a part in convincing Parcells and Jerry Jones to do it.

I think they can create a non-traditional contract that fines him for derogatory statements and make it REALLY tough on him where he MUST shut up and play ball.

IF we can get "THAT" T.O. then I will support the move...

Come on, you have to admit: Terry Glenn/Terrell Owens/Keyshawn Johnson/ Patrick Crayton sounds REALLY good as our WR lineup...

Then throw in Bledsoe at QB and it is a LETHAL combination for opposing defenses!!!!

Bledsoe could throw the ball all over the field!!

Stay Tuned.......................

Next year. Improved OL.

T.O. on one side. Glenn on the other side with Key running outta the slot. We will use alota 3 WR sets.

Bledsoe will have his best year ever. 3500+ yards real easy. 30+ TD passes with 15 or less Ints.

Ooooo yeah!!

Ok, this is what I think, remember that Parcells said, we have a lot of young guys that dont get it yet, to be up for a game like Washington week before carolina, guys like Demarcus Ware, Marcus Spears, David Burnett, Marion Barber-I think he gets it) Rob Petti-remmember he says that coaches tell him what to do, and he does something else and gets into trouble, Julious Jones, Jacob Rogers-for sure didnt get it, Reeves, Jason Witten-i think he is just right at door of getting it by that I mean his blocking is still terrible, Al Johnson and Tucker.
Remember that Bradie James was with the team for 4 years till he got it. Now he is showing stuff coaches thought he was worth to become a good player,
Then, you add in we lost players like Dat that hurt us on defense, especially pass defense, Singleton-OLB, and Flozell Adams. We lost some leadership there, so young guys are not pumping them up.
So, I think someone like Terrell Owens that is used to winning, playing with an attitude like Deion Sanders (I didnt say that I liked or approved of T.O. ) but he can bring a nasty attitude that we have lost on offense especially at WR ever since Michael Irwin got hurt and retired. That is what I think, he can bring that gun ho attitude maybe just for a year, till players get that attitude, then either let him go the next year, or trade him, maybe just sign him 2 years, and then u can trade him. That with T.O at one # 1 WR slot and Keyshawn Johnson at other # 1 WR, with Terry Glenn in slot, and Patrick Crayton coming in to spell the Wr's, no one could cover us even when we go into a 3 WR set, you could keep one TE to help at OT next year now and then, or let Jason Witten come underneath the 2 WR's and tear up teams. That in turn will help the running game, you will have to keep at least 2 defensive backs on T.O, one on Keyshawn, when u go to 3 WR's sets, 2 would have to cover T.O. and 2 Glenn, with Keyshawn beating coverage. Then opposing defenses have to keep that many defensive backs in coverage, just 7 in box, and our running game will be awesome.
For the draft, guys think, we have a 33 year old Larry Allen, a 33 year old Riveria, a 31 year old next year Flozell Adams, we need a young offensive lineman, next year the draft is loaded at OT, and offensive guards, you should be able to get a good one in 2nd round at least. I still have hopes for Stephen Peterman, who was all guard at LSU national championship.
Also with draft, you could draft a young WR in 3rd to 5th round. It can be done, if you really look. I think Parcells is going to draft a ILB like Ahmad Brooks if he comes out this year, remember he told the scouts he wanted all the tape he could get on Brooks, who went to same college that played the 3-4 defense that Chris Canty played at.
To this end, I think Parcells is going to try to trade either Glover or Ellis to move up in the draft to take Brooks if he comes out. I dont agree with that, but I think something like that is going to happen. All Parcells needs now on defense is a good free safety, and a good backup nose guard, or another defensive lineman if he trades Glover or Ellis. Possibly fill those spots with Abraham, or maybe Darrin Howard whom I heard is on his way out of New Orleans, remember it was reported a trade for him, but it fell apart. And Darrin Howard is a young version of Glover.
Also, I think Parcells will take a young if not Brooks a young linebacker in 2nd or 3rd round. That will fill his defense. I do think that Beriout, free safety, whom really is a strong safety will be backup and good next year to Roy Williams.
Another key area that I think Parcells will fill in offseason is at kicker if Sheausbaum, however u spell his name doesnt work out. Parcells did like him..
Finally key area to fill in is at a kickoff specialist, or pure punt returner, I think Parcells will draft one of those at 5-7th round. I do think if Parcells doesnt trade up to get a player, he will trade down to pick up an additional 3rd rounder or 2nd rounder, trade then one of those picks, down again, to get an additional 4th rounder since we traded that for canty to eagles last year. I think, Glover or Ellis can bring a 2nd rounder or move up in draft to get a specific player. So, I say, look out 2006, remember that Parcells said about 3 weeks ago, that the Dallas Cowboys are one good offseason away from the SuperBowl. That means, a few more good free agents in 2006, 3-4 good ones, like this year with Henry, Fergueson, Glenn-Aaron, Riveria, and a another good draft in 2006. Just my thoughts, we need a killer instinct, and I think T.O can bring that to the team, just for one year though.
