Michael Irvin on ESPN Says:T.O. will be a Cowboy next year and Boys in Superbowl 41..

I don't see it happening.

1. Parcells has said he's too old to put up with knuckleheads and TO is one.
2. He got rid of Bryant because if his attitude and his attitude is no where as big as TO's.
3. Parcells will not get rid of Keyshawn.
4. Anyone who thinks TO is going to sign a 1 yr incentive based contract is nuts. He wants to be paid like the #1 wr in football. If he didn't he'd stay in Philly.
5. We don't need another aging wr. Draft a wr and let him grow in to the system.
6. We have a very young core of players that do not need to be around TO and his attitide.
7. He's helped destroy the morale of every team he's been on and it will not change.

AMEN!!!!

T.O. :shoot2:

Oh yeah. . . might I add that if he joins the team, I pray that George Teague kicks his *** every 15 minutes.

I don't want to win the "easy" way.

I want to win it the RIGHT way. You can no longer just buy a superbowl team. Just ask Danny Boy Snyder. . .

Ohhhh. . . I just got a GREAT idea. . .

I'd take him,,,we get Flo back and Pettiti gets better or someone better,,,,this would also help the running game,,,the def. couldn't put an extra man in the on the line to stop the run....

He produces and shuts his piehole, I'm all for it. But he hasn't showed me anything that proves he has changed. If we sign T.O. and go to the SB, he gets all the credit. No one will mentioned the progress we made this year. The only headline will be "T.O. helps Dallas reach SB." No Bledsoe, No Keyshawn, No Parcells. And the bad thing is, that's how T.O. likes it. If anyone else gets credit for taking us to the promise land, he'll have self-esteem issues. Forget this flash in the pan reciever. I'll take getting in the SB in 2 or 3 years versus getting there with T.O. next year. We will make it to the SB in the next 5 years, T.O. or not. I rather it be not.

I'd still rather have an improved O-Line and more pass rush help than T.O.

Rich.....

Yup. I want TO just because the Cowboys haven't had a receiver like him since Irvin and I believe he'll keep his mouth shut at least one year, but we can have all the receivers in the world and it ain't going to fix anything until we do something about that offensive line. I hope the Cowboys aggresively pursue some new linemen.

If Michael Vick was our QB, you might have a point, however I give you exhibit A:

last time we didnt listen to irvin we missed out on randy moss in the draft, lets not do it again?

No actually the last time we didn't listen to him we got Keyshawn Johnson. Something he said was as good as a done deal nearly 3-4 months before it was even possible to get him.

When Irvin speaks the Cowboys, I listen to him, period. The guy has his sources within the organization that nobody else has, and over the years since he's retired that has grown plainly obvious.

I thank you for the recap....however I still feel I need to post this pic...

TO will not be traded to any team. No team would take a chance like that bringing in somebody they wouldn't be 100% sure wanted to be there. Nobody wants to be the Ravens this time around.

The only team that gets him this time around is the team he wants to go to most. In which I think is us. Now the question lies.....will we accomidate him. Irvin seems to think so, so I also tend to lean that way. He was in the loop on Dieon. He was in the loop on, Moss. He was in the loop on, Keyshawn. He's got to be wrong once before I don't believe it this time around.

People would like to convince themselves that TO is not a Parcell's kind of "guy". But from my calculation there has always been a spot open on Parcell's roster for a "badboy" WR who likes to do nothing more then win. The guy could absolutlely care less about showboating as long as the player is doing all the other little things. Have we all forgotten about the type of crap LT used to pull while he was a player for Parcells? Or all the crap that came out after he retired, that he used to do. Drugs, sending hookers over to other teams nights before games, etc, etc. Ha-ha, damn that Parcells didn't have a hand on nothing over in Giantland did he. Oh wait, he can turn another cheek as well as the next guy if you do your job well enough, that's how Parcells really works. Derek Ross didn't produce, he was gone. Antonio Bryant didn't product, he was gone. LT pulled stunts like he did for years on end, but wait he produced. Keyshawn writes a book ridiculing his entire team, then when he comes to dallas, in his second year, nearly jumps our qb on the sideline during the game......but oh wait, that's right, he produces. Shall we continue and go on to the handfull of other players he's had with questionable "character" issues that not only produced but livedquite nicely in Parcellsland? Naw, that would take all day. Point being is, people have a great misunderstanding of our coach if they don't think he'll over look character flaws for overall production. And if that wasn't the case, why would we even want him, I mean if winning wasn't top priority to him?

Doesn't TO have some big site of his own with his own message board? I remember reading an article during the Ravens/49ers/Eagles mess and how Eagles fans were going to his message board at his website and fighting with Ravens fans. Maybe one of the guys starting this thread is TO in disguise. ;)

Not like he has any obligations right now. :hammock:

the way i see it, TO is exactly what i want in a football player, he is sure of himself, he wants to win and he trains and plays hard. He has passion for the game, i dont see anything wrong with that.
Give him a chance, if he messes up this time it will be his last

The thing is though...how many chances do you give a guy before it sinks in with the player....and is TO the type of person that it will ever sink in with?

Man alive he ragged the 49ers coaches and players, he made a stink about getting traded to the ravens, then he rags on coaches and players with the Eagles.

He and his agent have basically said that they would do what they could to get him traded from the team and if that means causing trouble than so be it...holy moly...how many chances does a guy get?

Tuna & a good contract can handle TO.

Reid was a mismatch, we all knew that day one. Some coaches are inflexible and can't handle a talented malcontent.

People also get confused as Tuna readily disposes untalented malcontents (ie. Hunter, Ross, etc.)

I think AB was talented...he was given multiple chances...yet in the end Bill did not rope him in or handle him.

Bill is good with some players but he is in no way a miracle worker for every malcontent in the league.

Some players are just going to be trouble no matter where they go or who the coach is.

This reminds me of years of taking chances on players with problems and cowboys fans saying...we go Mr Hill here to help with the problem....yet as good as Mr Hill is...he is no Miracle worker.

Players with the kind of talent that Owens has will get many chances.

Even if he does come to the Cowboys ( I'd Take him ) and messes up he will still get another chance somewhere.

He just won't make as much money as he could have.

AB wasn't Tuna's Groceries. ;)

TO would be.

Tuna has a knack for knowing when not to bother roping in a guy who "doesn't get it" and is a marginal talent anyways.

T.O. would be a great addition to the Cowboys. What the Boys need most on offense aside from an upgraded OL is an offensive threat that can open up the running game for Julius Jones on a regular basis. Every play, T.O. will have to be double teamed and that means that Glenn, Witten and Key will be one on one on most offensive plays. Defenses will play only seven men in the box on most occasions. It limits blitzing from other team for fear of the big play! If the OL can provide Bledsoe with time under those conditions, defenses look out for 2006 version of the Dallas Cowboys. And I agree with Michael Irvin, we will be in Superbowl 41!!

If TO is brought to dallas...he will not be playing with Glenn, Key...one of those two would be gone and I think it would be Key.

I just see no way we have TO, Glenn, Key, Crayton playing all at the same time....I could be wrong but I think Key would leave or just not resigned.

I'm against signing T.O. but if Parcells is willing to do it then fine.
I'd let every team in the NFL pass on T.O. before I would even approach the subject of signing with the Cowboys and then sign him a cap friendly deal with behavioral incentives

I would hate to lose Key or Glenn. I understand that TO is the better player, but I like those guys that are already here, and I think they are very good teammates.
