And you have a right to feel that way, same thing with Gallup. But don't act like we didn't warn yall if he comes in here and takes the offense to another level. Stop being so negative dang

Dudebis a walking negative Nancy. I'm not sure he's even a Cowboy fan.

There was a theory that floated around this board years ago. After Jimmy and Jerry split the sheets. When people complained about Jerry being the GM, some posters would say it is easy to predict failure since the success rate of an NFL team (meaning winning the championship) is rare. That kind of dovetails with the idea that the talking heads on TV, who predict the future outcome of different team's successes, also are negative, except for riding the front runners, because the possibility of being wrong is less when you forecast collapse. Makes them look like experts.

So when I see specific posters continually presage falling short, be it a player, squad, coach, or team, and do so regularly in almost every thread, I think back to those posits after Jerry started his, "I'm a football guy, and so is my son, Little Anus." and wonder if that poster just takes that position to appear to be right.

Just a thought.

I'd be surprised at 7-0 Philly's desperation.

I would think Philly would go after guys that are going to be actual impact players. OBJ is the type of move Jerry makes because it'll be big headlines, not because of the impact it'll have on the field.

If Jerry cared about winning we'd be looking for run stoppers, but that's not the sexy thing to do.
He already got a run stopper.

If OBJ is healthy then it would be a good pickup...heres the thing, again I'll ask who in the WR room do you feel like we can say "I comming to you no matter what" and you feel confident in it...OBJ when healthy is that guy. If he goes to Philly i feel like he would be a good addtion but not the same change to thier WR room as ours..my opinion of course.
Agree.

Guy was probably on his way to be Super Bowl MVP before that injury. He single handedly made their offense look unstoppable again. It is amazing to me people who want to deny what we saw happen. We saw him dominate in the playoffs. We saw him get that early TD in the Super Bowl.
I don't get it either. He immediately helps our dropsies. Best hands.

I feel like OBJ is a no impact move at this point in his career and after his injuries.

But it would be big headline news for the Cowboys, so impact on the actual team positive or negative be damned.
Hard to agree w this after the huge impact he had last season. Now of course the injury can change all of that. But it’s definitely an assumption on your part. The last Odell we all saw was damn good

I'd honestly would love to see the reactions of posters here if Washington, Philly, or New York were the teams eyeing OBJ.

I highly doubt we'd see the same positive OBJ reactions if that were the case.

It doesn't matter who we sign or draft. You always throw a negative spin on it. I have yet to see you post anything positive about the cowboys. If I read only your posts I would think the cowboys are 0-8.

Is he going to help us stop the run?
Who is available besides Suh that no one else wants either can help stop the run? These run stoppers do not just appear out of thin air after every blood moon or something. If you haven't traded for 1 by now your choices are the street FA, has Poe put in his retirement paperwork yet....

that’s always the case. That isn’t relevant though. He’s better than B. Cooks lol.

Yeah, I saw him leave the field injured again and still not be ready to play almost a year later.

You would say what I'm saying if the Eagles, Giants, or Commanders were in on Beckham.

No I would be saying exactly what I'm saying right now. Odell is going to be a problem with whatever team he signs with even if its not us. You'll see.

I mean that same argument works both ways. You are usually negative about every single move the cowboys make. You're taking this stance because OBJ is attached to the cowboys but I have a sneaky feeling if it was the Bills, you would be foaming at the mouth talking about how this is the move that champions make, Jerry would never do this cuz he's an idiot etc etc. Thats just reflective of your history.
