He can probably play but i'm buying into the league favor thing.

I don't think any team takes on the circus that people thought would potentially come with a fringe player.

We got dismissed for "tampering" and sign Michael Sam around the same time.. hmmmm

Potentially.

The Manziel circus is greater than the M. Sam circus by a wide, wide margin though.

Once Sam was signed, we literally didn't hear much of him and consider that we are the hardcorest of fans..... we generally talk about everything related to Cowboy information here and we all didn't hear much of a peep from him.

By watching him play. If you think that M. Sam doesn't deserve to be on a PRACTICE SQUAD then you are clearly biased, or out of your mind.

I believe the M. Sam although being a work in progress, has more upside than most practice squad players at his position.

If he doesn't stick on any practice squad it comes down to unfortunate politics.

??? Your opinion makes no sense. He was cut for football reasons and nothing else. If he deserved to stay due to football reason he would still be here. If politics played any part in his signing or being released, then it is truly sad. The fact remains that he has been released by two NFL teams now meaning he is not all that. If he was, he would still be here or on the Rams.

It is about time. I was just saying Sunday after seeing him on the sidelines , that they need to finally get rid of him.

The thing about Sam is some wanted him to succeed and some wanted him to fail based solely on his lifestyle. If politics were involved they they would have never signed him in the first place and they dang sure would not have released him. Given our pathetic pass rush this season, he would still be here if he earned it. The team saw a chance to sign a potentially better player and jumped on it. It happens all the time in ALL sports and his lifestyle is the only reason it is a big deal.

I just don't see Jerry being worried about the politics of having Sam on the team. If Jerry cared about public perception, he wouldn't have brought Josh Brent back.

I guess the entire league is out of their mind, but you are the sane one?

I'm glad to be back, looking forward to watching the games again. Thanks, Drudge. Addition by subtraction, the Dallas Cowboys are only about football, again!

I hope we bring him back tomorrow. It'd be addition by subtraction (For this board).

If he had produced in practice, he would still be here.

I'm not upset at his being cut, especially while the team is winning, but guys get cut and added to the practice squad for all sorts of reasons. I don't think there's anything out there that says he's been bad at practice.

I've heard Mickey and Bryan talk about the fact that he needs more time to develop physically, that's obviously not something that happens in a couple of months.

Patriots waived Sterling Moore and he was on their PS when Dallas picked him up. Dallas waived him before last season. They brought him back in November. Now, working the full offseason with Marinelli and the other coaches, he's developed into our #3 CB.

My hope is that they bring Michael Sam back and he can take the whole off-season to train/develop w/ the team the way Sterling Moore did and provide Dallas with quality depth at DE.

The Cowboys and the Rams also saw him play too. In a professional setting, and they both cut him. So tell me why we're supposed to take your expert advice over theirs?

I believe the M. Sam although being a work in progress, has more upside than most practice squad players at his position.

You believe. Believe isn't necessarily fact.

If he doesn't stick on any practice squad it comes down to unfortunate politics.

Based on your expert evaluation? Or is this another of your "beliefs"?

I'm not willing to give this coaching staff that benefit of the doubt.

Besides, there are guys who shine in games and not so much practice. Bobby Taylor was one of those players. Until I see Sam fail on the field, I'll assume he can do it.

He certainly can't be worse than the crap we field now on passing downs.

I saw this story being talked about today for the first 15 minutes of ESPN's NFL Live. I've never heard of this much time being spent talking about a practice squad player being released. I think it's wrong to do so when there are so many other Cowboys related stories to talk about.
