your comparing KiJana Carter to Reggie Bush?

pretty lame HH, Bush is eons more a talent than Carter was

that said, Carter busted out because he busted his knee out in his first preseason, not because he didnt have ability

Somebody mentioned trade bait already on the team. Then someone else mentioned Greg Ellis. Just throwing it out there but Dallas has paid a lot of attention to Rodrique Wright too.

What if we package Ellis, our 1st and if the trade calls for it some middle pick next year and take Huff in the 1st and Wright in the 2nd to replace Ellis? Just throwing it out there.

(FYI: I'm not a Horn homer, I actually really dislike them, but the plan seems logical)

I'm not comparing anyone to anyone, I'm saying that you can call someone a "once a decade talent" until Jesus come sback, that does not make it so.

Rodrique Wright is a DT

Ya, so you look at scouting reports but not players. He's a small DT who's in the mold of a La'roi Glover and would make a solid 3-4 DE

I hope he plays smarter than he sounds. I heard him this morning on with Collin Cowherd on ESPNradio and Collin asked him who was the best all time CB or coverman (something like that) and he said........charles woodson  Needless to say the callers slaughtered him on that in the next segement.
Huff's parents are big Michigan fans(may be alumni?), Woodson was his favorite player growing up.

Shefter missed the boat on this one, the Cowboys get to invite as many local players that they want, including Huff. They are just doing their due dilligence in case he is available.

Wright could play end or NT in a 3-4....I think he'd be a better 4-3 tackle. I'm not sure he can handle NT in a 3-4

The Cowboys are doing their due diligence on a player they like with Huff. The Cowboys are interested in Huff, so if he falls to the right spot they might make a move. I think this is not a smokescreen but a careful measurement of the options they have. They may have players they think are more lilel;y to be there at 18, but who knows...."it could happen."

yeah, and he is being projected by alot of teams as a DE in the 3-4

so is Northwestern DL Barry Cofield, who we are also bringing in for a visit

apparently you havent been paying attention to him the past 4 yrs then

he's the best player in this draft hands down and while no draft pick is a sure thing, he did stuff in his 4yrs at USC that not many (if any) other RB's ever did...he did it against good teams just as easily as against the bad teams...he's a game changer and can do alot of different things to hurt other teams

But on two crucial fourth down plays he was on the sidelines in the national championship game....

He's not a lock in my eyes

cant make plays if he isnt in the game...Pete Carroll made a pretty stupid decision there (two of them actually...not ounting and forcing Texas to go the length of the field was the other)

don't see them moving up. we got too much $ already in the secondary.
better to have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it......

As much as I love Huff, it would take too much to trade up for him and I'd be pretty happy just sticking to our spot and taking Manny Lawson

Huff's a pretty safe pick though...he appears to have all the skills to be a bigtime CB, but at worst you know your rae drafting a guy who could be a dynamite FS...if he hits as a CB our secondary would be almost invincible

I'm not saying I'd move up to get him, but I could see the logic in it

well you can laugh if you want I suppose, we couldnt get Bush with just our 3 first day picks anyway...not even close

that said, Bush is not overrated...he is one of those once a decade talents that can truly alter a franchise...he isnt one dimensional and he isnt a one yr wonder...he's probably worth at least a TD a game more to whomever's offense he ends up on...players like that dont grow on trees

David

do you not understand that NFL defenses are 100X faster than college defenses. bush will not be able to do what he does best in the nfl, and taht is run outside. once a decade talent is barry sanders, the quickest and most elusive back to play the game. but see barry could still somewhat go through guys and he is 100X quicker and more elusive than bush is. bush is an outside runner, who scans for sidelines nad passes up lanes. he is going to dissapoint many in his career.

We've drafted enough D-backs in the 1st. We need to get another LBer or an offensive Tackle. Free Safety, imo, is not a position that should warrant an early 1st rounder.
