Mike Fisher on the radio this morning

Don't think so. Norv's been there, failed that.

I think at this point, he'll be happy just to be an OC again.

I don't believe that. Those guys never lose the desire to be the top guy. Even Wade was still angling to get the Houston job even after his failed head coaching stints.

He's the assistant director of player personnel. I've heard good stuff about him. Maybe he's part of the reason for better draft picks lately.

Broaddus has praised his ability to find guys off these street, as well his effect on recent drafts. Also hinted that he would change the draft philosophy regarding taking players with an injury history. Implies he's pretty heavily involved. Not sure what that means regarding Ciskowsk.

You guys asking for Norv realize he would only be coming here to angle to get the head coaching job after Jerry finally gets rid of Garrett right?

Well, it depends on who you believe going back to the coaching search of 2007, when it came down to Norv and Wade. It seemed like Jerry chose Wade over Norv, but I've also heard that Norv didn't want to coach under Jerry. Unlikely, but possible I guess. Thing is, Norv has to be a bit peeved that his HC just got fired and now he's in limbo after only a year. If he comes here, he might be working with a lame duck coach. He might be trying to position himself for a HC gig in that sense, but I don't see it. Of course, with Jerry, who knows?

Since Garrett is staying, I would not mind if Dallas brought in Turner. I think he could be a voice of reason for Garrett on this offense since Garrett trusts him.

Probably the best reason to hire him. Coaching is a lot like a team. Everyone has to gel. I don't see any issues with Turner and Garrett. If Norv and Jason have issues... well, I think it's time for redhead to go.

Sure.
Which QB is closer to Aikman in size, throwing motion and accuracy on timing routes?

Orton had some very inaccurate throws Sunday night. Besides, Norv has coached a lot of QBs in his career, and not all of them were like Troy.

What do know. Garrett says it is somebody elses fault. That never happens.

Parcells did the same thing all the time. Never heard him take responsibility for anything that went wrong.

I also think Garrett was at his best as a coordinator when he had Tony Sparano bending his ear. Dallas would actually come out of halftime with some adjustments that threw off the other team's defense.

I see Turner having a chance at being like that for Garrett.

Gordon led the league in receiving, so...?

so your are saying Norv is responsible for his play? by that logic Norv is also responsible for Phillip rivers sucking all those years.

That's lazy thinking. He didn't win anything. One of the greatest TEAMS in the history of the NFL who those two SBs. He was part of it, and so was Troy. But there was also Emmitt, Michael, Jay, the Great Wall of Dallas, and a defense that was pretty good, too. Plus, a lot of other really great coaches. Norv also coached guys like Alex Smitha and Philip Rivers. QB's that have a lot of those same attributes that Troy had, and both much better than Orton. How manny championships did he win with them?

Still, I really can't believe you're comparing Kyle Orton to Troy Aikman. Sounds like you're just trying to veil a dislike for Romo. People in the NFL that really know football would laugh you out of the room.

He called the plays that enabled the kid to be a success, no?
