Truth is every successful QB in history, their success was made possible by the talent that surrounded them.
Brady, Montana, Bradshaw, Manning, put them all on lesser teams, and they would be Tony Romo and Phillip Rivers.
Great talent elevates everyone around them. Romo in his prime elevated everyone around him. Problem was except for a couple seasons didn't have enough talent around him.
And he wasn't talented enough to elevate a lesser team anymore than to 8-8.
Now that we've built this OL and running game they all want to see if Romo can extend what he did in 2014. Problem is with the injuries he's incurred it's provided an opportunity and he's taking full advantage of it. And we have some Romo homers furious that Dak is stealing his thunder desperate for Romo to ride the wave.
In the meantime while not wanting to come off non supportive of the Dak wave are attempting to lessen the impact Dak is making.
There's a real possibility that Dak could become more talented Romo. He might not meet his potential this year but could be a bigger push than we've seen. We don't know yet.
We know what we have with Romo. I should say , we know what we've had. There is some uncertainty what he has left. But some want to see how it plays out with Dak . Hard to fault them. The enthusiasm is very intoxicating unless you have some deeply rooted emotions attached to Romo not being able to fulfill his dreams with a team built for that purpose.
