Mike Jenkins getting help from Romo

Man I love this guy. You can tell he wants to be the best CB in the league.

I was wrong about this guy...and it feels great.:starspin

Kind of reminds me of Cal Ripken, Jr. used to go to pitcher meetings to figure out how the pitchers would pitch certain batters and how that may effect how the ball could be hit in his range.

It's nice to see some players realize that you only have one go around when it comes to this game and you should do what it takes to become the best player you can possibly be.

Nothing annoys opposing offenses more than defensive players who know what they are going to do.

Great post.

The communication between offensive players and defensive players to find extra help just made my pants a little tighter.

Love that ratliff sign Saltwater, nice job!

Very well written, Mike. You must've gone to USF. ;)

Love to read the "behind the scenes" material. Ed Werder must still be asleep on the front lawn when Romo sneaks in behind him.

Romo rules.

Mike Jenkins will pick Aaron Rodgers off and take it to the house.

I feel it. He's on fire.

I believe Mike Jenkins has what it takes to be one of the best conerbacks in the NFL.

Oh, the horror.

It's just funny how emotions overtake what people see. Bunch of sheeps. He doesn't tackle a running back and all of a sudden hes a bust. Nevermind that he actually had a decent year. Don't mind me though, I just have a mind of my own.

If it makes you feel better, we all still hate TO.

Not quite here, although I did agree with the stated reasoning behind releasing him when I saw it and I'm loving how it's paying off so far. There are a number of guys on the Cowboys who didn't get much love last season or haven't been getting much this one.

One by one, they're getting that respect and I love seeing it.

Wade Phillips - Winning really does change things. We looked sloppy at the beginning of the season, now halfway through the new pieces on the D have begun to mesh and they're the top rated scoring D in the NFC. Phillips has made adjustments, just as I predicted and that's a great thing.

Mike Jenkins - Looked like a ballhawk last season, also looked a bit confused out there. Goodbye and good riddance confusion, hello ballhawking physical CB.

Bobby Carpenter - Bust of a 1st rounder, so what? Hes contributing now and has played well in place of Burnett. Hope to see it continue here.

Miles Austin - Wow, just wow...I was all too ready to dismiss the guy as well, glad that the coaches saw something most of us didn't even if it did take an injury to get him involved. Austin seems to do nothing EXCEPT make crucial catches.

Roy Williams - He hasn't arrived yet, but last game's performance is promising. Seems the coaches have finally started using him on the sorts of plays hes good in and he responded well.

Hoping to add Marty B and Anthony Spencer to that list pretty soon as well, they're both on my "ready to breakout" list.

Oh brother...

He did have a decent year, but many thought Scandrick had just as good, if not a better year. There were times I thought Jenkins looked absolutely lost out there. "The whiff" was the point where I felt like Scandrick should start. Many others did too, but that doesn't mean there was a herd mentality. It simply means that many felt the same thing because of his performance on the field.

I don't think there was an overwhelming majority that thought he was a "bust" either. From what I saw, most just thought we had found a better gem in Scandrick, especially since he seemed to be the more physical CB last year, and always appeared to give it his all.

He's proved many of us wrong. I'm happy to admit that. But to say that people were following the pack is fallacious, at least in my case anyways.

I first noticed this when I used to date a girl named Angie. She was from Yucca Valley, California and she was drop dead gorgeous. Best kisser I ever made out with. After we broke up I started noticing girls in Jeeps.

Out here in the West, if you see a woman in a Jeep, she is probably going to be amazing looking. There's one girl who lives near where I do that I see around campus now and then and drives a red Jeep. Holy crap!

I appreciate Jeep salesmen upholding a standard of sales.
