Mike McCarthy called Trey Lance "a beautiful mind" for the way he has retained information

This has been debunked by McCarthy himself.

The Zone’s opinion posts from random members are *not* an actual source.

We need to be careful to not just repeat nonsense we see on the board.
I think you need to say it slower for the people in the back

I would suggest that you check McCarthys actual response.

He, and the other people involved in talent aquisition were involved. Provided feedback. He said it, definitively.

Jerry did, in fact, make the call on the actual negotiations on compensation on the trade, but that’s *routine*. It’s the way the league works.

Coaches don’t deal with the specifics of whether it’s a fifth or a third or whatever. That’s what the GM is supposed to do.
I’m just pointing out that in the video I posted Jerry said he didn’t tell anyone about the trade. He said McCarthy found out about it after they did it.

I don’t know what McCarthy said, but Jerry said they didn’t tell anyone about the trade, including McCarthy until after it was made.

So? He's the GM. That's his job and it's been his MO for...ever.

McCarthy was asked to evaluate him. That's his job in the personnel acquisition process. Which he did.

The outrage over this is ridiculous.

I disagree, we had no threat on the outside with our receivers, cd couldnt do it all, gallup couldnt run routes and was still thinking about his knee noah brown wasnt threating any one and kellen moore was the big reason dak couldnt get into a rhythm with his scheme with thoses stupid option routes and curl routes.. Zeke couldnt get the running gaming going pollard got hurt so dak wasnt at fault he was set up to fail and had to over think and force throws.. Nothing was ever gonna click on offense against the 49ers in that game on the road it was so evident to see.. Pollard wasnt even used in the running game early and also kellen kept dailing up stupid *** pass plays when cd was the only option.. So no wonder it was hard to threat the 49ers defense to score because of all of thoses circumstances that occurred but o it was Dak’s fault in the end we lost and thats str8 bull****
Actually Gallup burned the D deep on a post route and had a easy TD during the game and Dak underthrew him. Just one of those BIG moments that could have been.

This is a part of what I was talking about in a thread the other day.

Classroom work and on the practice field can give them a good assessment of what they do or don’t have in Trey Lance.

I think the smartest thing they can do is to let this season play out and decide the future of the quarterback position then.

Why would Jerry ask Mike anything when he's on the phone doing a deal? Do you guys think Fat Mike is going to say no about anything to Jerry? lmao.

This is nothing but fear, grasping for any and every excuse to protect the baby dak. And the stupidest thing, is why in the world would he ask dak anything? "dak will this hurt your feelings and make you get job scared and choke more". yep, Jerry should have asked him that.

Who knows what will happen the next 12 months, but if Trey Lance can eventually challenge Dak and push Dak to improve and be a better QB, it's good for everyone involved.
.
Push Dak to become a top 5 QB, now you're talking SERIOUS Super Bowl level QB.
I’m not sure Dak needs to be pushed. He seems very dedicated. I have a hunch he’s giving us the best Dakota Prescott he can.

It's not fear. I don't care one bit if Lance takes the job. I hope he does. But considering the QB situation in SF, it seems like wishful thinking this early. The GM and HC need to work together. Jerry going rogue never works out for some reason. lol

jerry was on the phone according to reports. what was he to do? call down at the buffet table and see if Fat Mike could stumble his way up to the office. lmao. Jerry, "Hey fat mike can you take your fat butt away from the table long enough to answer some questions?" fat Mike, "Jerry do whatever you want, you know me, I'm not going to say no. hey, when are they bringing more food out, Jerry?"

“I mean obviously understand it’s a business,” Prescott said,. “That’s a first-round talent and you’re always trying to make your team better. But that was the front office so we’re going to welcome him as we do any teammate and hopefully he just makes us better and we’re going to continue to get back at it and know that we’ve got one goal as a team.”

Hopefully optimistic Dak.

I told you guys this was going to happen. The guy can’t even win the backup job behind a guy picked 246th or whatever Mr. Irrelevant is. Yahoos like this guy wants him to start.
The two guys that were ahead of Lance in San Fran both dog walked Dak head to head.

Lance doesn’t have to beat those guys out. He has to beat Dak out. I like his chances.

We Want Lance! We Want Lance!
