Apaprently there's also a military prison in Leavenworth, KS though the prison Vick is in was once a military prison as well.

Anyway, other famous folks who've been incarcerated at Leavenworth, according to wiki:

Bam Morris, Leonard Peltier, and Machine Gun Kelly appear to be the most famous of them. Wonder if Vick has met Peltier?

You don't say...........

t's time to note that Michael Vick was transferred to USP Leavenworth in Kansas (not to be confused with the military penintentiary, Fort Leavenworth)

U.S. Bureau of Prisons minimum security facility in Leavenworth
http://www.lvarea.com/data/usp_info.htm

The Federal Penitentiary Camp (FPC) is located outside the main USP walls and houses minimum security prisons that maintain the exterior grounds of the USP.

this story is just a joke :laugh1:

It's prison and not the local county jail. Mike Tyson was in gen pop and Tupac was in gen pop and so was James Brown the Godfather of Soul.

Michael Vick should be in gen pop and I suspect that he actually is in gen pop, regardless what the local deputies may think.

OK let me clear somethangs with you, I'm in law enforcement and we have access to information that the general public does not. This rumor could be true but having had to escort people to Jail I find it hard to believe that M. Vick is in general pop. Also my "local deputies" were the guys who escorted the guy that was charged in the 9/11 highjacking and killings from prison to court everyday.

I think Vick deserved prison time for what he did but must admit I have a problem if he and any others like him are jailed in a facility where their lives could be in danger. I guess I'm thinking non violent criminals should be placed separately from those who are violent. Combing the two groups could turn non-violent prisoners into violent prisoners just to defend themselves.

It wouldn't upset me to any great degree if Mike Vick got the snot kicked out of him.

Could care less you are in law enforcement? No offense but the local sheriffs office hasn't a clue as to what goes on behind the prison walls and polices of the prisons they deliver the prisoners to once they hand over the prisoner at the gates.

And REMEMBER. This is a FEDERAL institution. So if you aren't a US Marshall who delivered Michael Vick to Leavenworth, then excuse me while I go along with how every other star has been treated behind prison walls. That being they served most of the time in gen pop.

Maybe they should have slapped him on the wrist and let him go play a game for the rest of his life. His crime was violent not to mention it wasn't his only crime, violation of interstate commerce laws, should have been some RICO stuff in there. Lets not forget he took all this so seriously that he got high while out on bail he got what he deserved too bad he isn't in a Super Max in Gen pop.

Should add Jimmy Coonan. Former leader of the Westies.

And mediatakeout.com does???:laugh2: :laugh2: I see, work, eat and converse with U.S. Marshalls everyday. I'm also friends with local sheirffs from several law enforcement agencies. But I would think that I would have a better idea of what goes on in the federal prison system that you or mediatakeout.com.
Most high profile prisoners are protected in some forum, that is a fact.
He is a prize and will not be exposed to harm, even if he in prison. So if I was you I would not believe internet rumors.

Now back to reading some more Moss to Dallas rumors....

That was someone on their radio show poking fun at Vick. He is in a Rahab Center(country club) and he will be out for the 09 season.

What she heard was just a cruel joke. and someone put it on the internet, there is no truth to it at all.

The Fed Pen up here in KS is no joke. Never has been.

As for Vick, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

On a side note - there hasn't been any media coverage of this locally that I have seen. I find that very odd.

Sounds like bull ****. I figure he'd be in protective custody if this were true. He'd save some cash and stay segregated from the prison crowd.

[*]Jimmy Burke who was sent to the prison for the first time at the age of eighteen in 1949 and once again in 1972 for extortion[/LIST]
Jimmy Burke was the guy Robert DeNiro played in Goodfellas.

This story seems fake. If Vick were seriously injured or God forbid murdered, it would ruin whoever put him in the general population. Regardless, a guy who went to prison for dogfighting shouldn't be mixed with violent offenders.
