Mediatakeout is not a reliable source they are known to make up stories....just a FYI, their trash gets put on other boards I frequent.
We've said repeatedly that in the offseason, we're a little more lax with the rules. During the season, we tend to ship stuff off to whereever it's supposed to go.c0wb0y_m0nkey;1972340 said:I care because if it wasn't started by a mod it wouldn't still be in the Fan Zone, it would have been moved to OT before anyone had a chance to reply. I've noticed it in the past and it bugs me. That's why I care.

FWIW, there's a ton of non-Cowboys postings on the board that wasn't posted by a mod and as it falls off the first page or two, the threads will be shipped to the appropriate Zone.

Big Dakota;1971843 said:February 26, 2008. If you thought Mike Vick was in some kind of country club prison - you're wrong. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a person whose relative is currently incarcerated with Mike Vick in Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary - in the same cell block. And according to our source, Mike Vick is having a difficult time fitting in.
The insider explained, "Michael Vick is not in [administrative segregation] - he's right there with the rest of the inmates. A few [inmates] stepped to him when he first got there but everything is cool now ... My [family member] says that he's paying a Mexican gang to keep him safe."
You know what ... we're not even gonna criticize him for that. Do what you gotta do Mike....

Just sayin.
BraveHeartFan;1972735 said:Now with all that I've read I'll have to admit a couple things here.
#1: I do not, at all, feel a single bit sorry for him. He is in prison, where he belongs, cause he's a criminal. He's got felony charges against him and that is why he's in jail. So he should get it easier, than other felons (Some of which, btw, aren't there cause they killed anyone) simply cause he's Mike Vick and he played pro ball? PLEASE. Cry me a river. He had every chance, that every other human on earth has, not to be stupid and not to do illegal things. He chose, instead, to be stupid and do illegal things. He has no one to blame, but himself, for whatever is happening to him. He put himself there.
#2: I don't know if he's in general population, or not, but I wouldn't be shocked, at all, if he was. Mike Tyson was in general population and I'll bet anyone, any amount of money they'd like, that Tyson was probably even more famous at the time he went to jail than Mike Vick is. The whole argument being made here, by the guy whose in law enforcement and has buddy's who are deputies, or sherrifs, or whatever, who transport back and forth to court...man I am not trying to say you know nothing but what you are saying seems like you're trying to claim you know a little more than what you really do.
First off transporting a prisoner back and forth to court doesn't seem like any good indication because they hold those guys in county jails, and lock ups, during their trials and proceedings. They don't put them in a federal penn until they're convicted. So it's not like your friends are transporting them from a federal pen to the court house.
Second off you, and your friends, are local authorities. Nothing more, nothing less. I have several friends who are cops or part of the Sheriff department and I can assure you, just becuase they where a badge to be a cop in Duncan, or a Highway patrol in Stephens County, doesn't mean they know crap about what goes on in the federal pen in Kansas. To say so is just totally trying to make yourself sound more connected, and in the know, than you really are, based simply on the fact that you're in law enforcement.
Local cops can tell you about how prisoners are treated in exactly one area. Their local, county, jail. That's it. They do not know how life is 24 hours a day in a federal pen because they don't work there, they don't frequent there, and they're not in the know simply because they're a cop.
DCBoysfan;1972834 said:Actually I think some posters are getting confused on what I was saying. I mentioned my friend who is a sheriff in VA. I work in Washington, DC. we dont have sheriffs here so all prisoners transports are done by the United States Marshall Serivce. So I know ALOT of US Marshall since everyone in DC goes to court to attend to court cases, and often converse or eat in the same places.
All I did was give an opinon from one of my law enforcement friends. My OPINON is he is in protective custody. Mentioning what happen to Mike Tyson or any other celeberity does not matter. Mick Vick turned himself in and without knowing the details of his plead agreement,( and after being in many, many courtrooms) I would be shocked if part of his plead agreement was not that he was protected in some form or the other.I dont really care one way or the other, I more concern with Thurs. at 12am than this tread, so this is my last respone on the subject.
And I have 14 years of law enforcement experience so yes I feel I know alot of what I'm talking about.
