There's a saying that sometimes the ones who want to see you hurt the most are the ones who look like you.

Just saying, who he may or may not hang with, doesn't have a thing to do with race.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I live about 20 minutes from the prison. My lead foreman for my company lives in Leavenworth. According to his father who works at the prison and has for the last 20 years backs up this story about the personal protection Vick has purchased. My wife's best friend is the lead pharmacist for the prison, also says she heard something similar.

Another notable prisoner was Noriega the ex-dictator of Panama.

Not if the dudes in your race is trying to jack you. In this case, it really isn't black and white.

And mediatakeout.com does???:laugh2: :laugh2: I see, work, eat and converse with U.S. Marshalls everyday. I'm also friends with local sheirffs from several law enforcement agencies. But I would think that I would have a better idea of what goes on in the federal prison system that you or mediatakeout.com.
Most high profile prisoners are protected in some forum, that is a fact.
He is a prize and will not be exposed to harm, even if he in prison. So if I was you I would not believe internet rumors.

Now back to reading some more Moss to Dallas rumors....

I dont' have a clue of what you are sourcing but they do not seperate stars from general population in prison. Think w/e you want.

Bring me something that says it's par prison policy to seperate those w/ fame from general population. I gave you a list of stars who were in general population and served 80-90% of the time they had in general population. Most people go through a small adjusting period outside GP (3days to a week) but are quickly moved to the normal housing areas.

You are sourcing some "friend" or "friends" who told you. That's it? You have to bring more than that.

Why was Mike Tyson serving his time in gp?

Why did James Brown serve his time there?

For crying out loud. Martha flippin Stewart was even in regular population at the institution she was at.

This is not Paris Hiltion. This is a full grown man who broke the law like you and I. Our prison systems are not built to alllow him any more privs than you and I might have while serving time in the penitentiary or federal institution.

If you can't bring any source to support your debate w/ me then don't bother stepping up to the box to argue it. Thats the funny part. You act like - well I work in law enforcment so I should know. What a bunch of BS. You could work in the flippin county jail cafeteria for all I know.

Did you know they don't even seperate bad cops/agents/politicians from general population?

Now after saying all of that. Remember, we are talking about prison and not regular jail. When a person is in jail before going to prison, the sheriffs office has full responsibility of that individual. The full purpose of the Sheriffs department is to house and control criminals during all phases of the court process. That means once they are sentenced. They are delivered to whichever institution will house them and the sherriff wipes his hands clean of the criminal.

While in jail, the sherriff has the right to give protective custody to the famous individual or person who they feel may have problems with the other prisoners. Fame can be an issue for some.

In prison this can be done but usually isn't done until after an investigation has shown that the person actually needs special accomodations. This does not exclude them from the regular population in prison. Normally these folks are placed into a medical area of the prison as a brief precaution only or until the prison can run down who is responsible for threats or whathaveyou against the criminal involved.

Im not in law enforcement but here at the state I work closely with all other state departments. Corrections being one. So I called them and asked about how a person of fame would be handled outside the sherffs or in my case the troppers custody once they are handed over to the prison system.

The answer I got from them is exactly what I typed about above.

Guys who are gonna be there MUCH longer than Vick could simply be jealous of the fact that he's a short-timer for all intents and purposes. And getting him caught up in something is a surefire way of extending his stay.

Look as far as I know, it's just a rumor. But jealousy and b.s. like that is colorblind...

[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Geneva, Ari]February 26, 2008. If you thought Mike Vick was in some kind of country club prison - you're wrong. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a person whose relative is currently incarcerated with Mike Vick in Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary - in the same cell block. And according to our source, Mike Vick is having a difficult time fitting in.

The insider explained, "Michael Vick is not in [administrative segregation] - he's right there with the rest of the inmates. A few [inmates] stepped to him when he first got there but everything is cool now ... My [family member] says that he's paying a Mexican gang to keep him safe."

You know what ... we're not even gonna criticize him for that. Do what you gotta do Mike....[/FONT]

I heard that the Mexicans broke down and took the job when they heard that his original name was Ron Mexico....

I'm glad my tax dollars go to pay for humans that act like animals under the dubious phrase of "paying off one's debt to society", whatever the hell that means. How ironic. They're paying off some imaginary debt, while I'm helping pay for it in real money.

OK you gave a list of famous people who has been sent to prison. Short of sharing a cell you have no idea how they were handled behind bars. You are seriously naive if you think that all those indivuals were treated just like eveyone else in prison. If you actually read my post what I said was that maybe the rumor is true. I doubt it since like I said I have had a conversation with and actual person who has escorted and protected high profile prisoners ZACARIAS MOUSSAOUI. My "local sheriff" was one of the people whom escorted him back and forth from court to prison. And yes because I'm in Law enforcement I do know what I'm talking about. I'm not on the Zone to prove I'm in law enforcement if you did'nt believe me you would not have call some corrections official to see if what I was saying was true. Its funny you can quote some "corrections official", but my "local sheriff friend" doesn't know what he is talking about.

And just so you know special circumstances or protective custody can be negotiated as part of a plead agreement.

This story seems fake. If Vick were seriously injured or God forbid murdered, it would ruin whoever put him in the general population. Regardless, a guy who went to prison for dogfighting shouldn't be mixed with violent offenders.

Why shouldn't he be in with the violent offenders? Did he not "violently offend" canines? At least he has a fighting chance (no pun intended) where as those canines that were destroyed and/or tortured did not.

Thats pretty bad. I despise Vick for doing what he did but he should'nt have to put up with that.

why should anyone? but that's life in prison. if you don't wanna live there, it's a pretty solid deterrant many people can see without...sticking their hand in the fire to find out it burns.

i have no pity.

Sociopaths don't live by normal rules. They don't think they apply to them. The question is, will the Vicks, Pacman's and Belicheats of the world learn?

Why do you care?

I care because if it wasn't started by a mod it wouldn't still be in the Fan Zone, it would have been moved to OT before anyone had a chance to reply. I've noticed it in the past and it bugs me. That's why I care.
