Miles Austin, Talent wise, is way better than TO!

people have this image in there head like TO is so athletic, or dominate.....no way...TO is just a big body guy with speed and smarts of the game, that's were is ends

His hands are not that great on a scale from 1-100 he has about 70-75 on hands....bad for an all pro

he cant jump, that has been proven, and he cant go up and get the ball, you would think he could, but he cant, hes just tall, and cant even fight for the ball, it was evident all the years hes been with us.......

his route running sucks, i will say his ability to fake a defender out is good, but beating them on a str8 up route running basis, he cant, sometimes he can with speed...hes not good on outs...or curls....just posts and streak routes, sometimes the slant

and hes a huge baby

Now when it comes to faking a defender out, i dont think he has that down yet, and isnt as smart as TO yet, but he can run a str8 route without any jukes and get away from a defender, something TO cant do on a regular basism which is why i believe he is faster and quicker....

but TO's smarts....and his ability to be deceptive makes a better WR

If Miles develops these things..he will be better overall...talent wise i think way better

Miles Austin will out jump and go after the ball in the air better then T.O, But He's not faster, atleast not top speed. Maybe Austin is quicker off the step. Which is actually better. Better hands are still to be proven. But really T.O is older now, when He was younger He was a phenom. We just didnt use Owens right here in dallas.


We'll see what Miles does I have high hopes for him.

Why do people keep saying, jump after balls, this and that, how about someone who can catch a simple pass, run thru arm tackles like Emmitt Smith. I've never seen a WR break as many tackles as the HOFer has done, sort of like a running back.

And for anyone to compare that snot-nosed punk to a HOFer, that person needs to be banned from being a Cowboys fan.

I admire the effor though to try and convince everyone that an undrafted free agent who has never started an NFL game has more talent that a future Hall of Famer...

Part of that is having Romo throwing to you and another part is having a greater percentage of passes thrown your way than any other receiver in the league. How many potential TD's did TO drop again?????

Miles has done nothing to prove he is a proven durable reciever. T.O. may wear out his welcome because of his big mouth but even at 35 he is a threat on any play (once he gets off the line of scrimmage) This thread is retarted and I tried to fight not posting in it but, really Newman700? You still have to be a receiver and thats something I think Miles Austin has done a good job at developing himself into being.

Miles can play. Im more worried about him staying healthy and Jason Garretts ability to get our receivers the ball.

im not saying hes better than TO, I'm saying he has Raw talent, that TO does not have, if you watch football or played, you could see these things, i just think he needs to have the smarts of a TO, until then TO is better obviously, but i think with Time, hopefully this season or next, he can show, why he can be better than TO for years to come.....TO isnt garbage, but his talent level is not that great, but the man is smart as hell for a WR, which is huge in football, he has smarts, he knows how to beat a zone, or juke out a defender, or when to cut ect....just like Crayton, which makes him good, even though he does not have the greatest physical tools, that shows you, smarts are everything or almost

i think Colston has better tools than TO but hes not as smart.....Randy Moss is just a pure athletic he does not need to be that smart, he will just out jump 2-3 defenders, or roast you right off the bat, but in the end he is still a smart WR.....thats all i think Miles needs to develop
