and you see, i should show a grown man, whos a mod respect, who added. We're doomed by my name?

he needs to grow up, with his crappy predictions, he takes this Mod job, a little to serious, yea your an admin on a cowboys message board, you should be proud

Actually, that's pretty funny. I think you should respect the mods in any chatroom. That's just good behavior. Specifically, on this board, anybody that's doing anything that helps me get my Cowboy fix automatically gets respect from me. If they then lose it through their posting habits, I still wouldn't mention that fact publicly.

I'm not commenting on your thread at all, b/c I think this is a good thread. And I should be clear that I don't automatically think of you as a whiner or skip your posts because I find them tedious. I've got enough of the drive-by bandwagon on crew on ignore. I try not to do that with the more regular posters.

If Miles, Hurd, and Stanback didn't play for this team, most people on this board wouldn't even know who they were.

Of the three, I like Austin's upside the most, the odds are real long against him or any of those guys being a real threat in the NFL. Anyone who says otherwise is whistling in the graveyard.

I wouldn't write off Miles Austin to soon, the fact that a couple of NFL teams are even considering offering Miles Austin a contact knowing it will cost them good money PLUS a second round DP, says a WHOLE lot about what the rest of the NFL thinks about Miles Austin.

You are right, all teams have several guys like Austin, Hurd and Stanback, but the big difference is all the other teams guys and Hurd ans Stanback from what we know are not getting any sniffs from other teams to sign them at the cost of a 2nd round DP. Miles Austin is getting more than even a few sniffs, he is getting serious interest.

will he start?

if we don't get torry holt or boldin, or just another big WR

he has to start.....if we have Crayton starting...we are doomed, Jerry must have a plan....and i guess he trusts Austin

perfect combo...1 is a young burner, who has showed flashes of making big plays, the other is a faster than normal possession guy, who makes crazy catches, and can out jump the best CB's

I would certainly agree that Miles Austin at #2, and Patrick Crayton at #3 is the receiving corps with the most potential.

But, Patrick Crayton is not a terrible option at the #2 spot. He his 39 catches for 550 yards last year is far from terrible for a guy who split time between the #2 and #3 WR.

Lets not forget, who ever wins the #2 job, he is in all actuality still only the #3 receiving option at best for the Cowboys. No Cowboy #2 WR will post stats like most other teams #2 WR's because in all actuality, the Cowboys #2 WR in Jason Witten.

It is not a coincidence that Dallas Clark went from a 30 catch TE to a 60+ catch TE in back to back season as soon as Marvin Harrison started to go downhill.

Owens =2 players, and attracts attention....Roy will have to prove he can do the same.......

Teams were no longer having to double team TO last year. TO still is a good WR, no doubt. But, TO no longer has the quickness to beat man to man press coverage. Once he gets in the open field, he still does have the speed to stretch the field. But, he can not consistently beat man to man press coverage anymore. Teams certainly do still respect TO, but don't fool yourself into thinking that teams still fear TO.

There will be alot of pressure on these WR's. I hope they can do the job.
