There isnt much to his game i don't like from what i have seen.
Speed, Hands, Toughness.
I haven't seen him running that many routes so im not so sure how he is there, but Parcells said he has tremendous potential as a WR.
We are fine at WR IMO.
Owens 2 more years on his contract
Glenn should be here untill he retires
Crayton great #3 and is still pretty young
Austin
Hurd
we are fine

Colstons come once a generation.
Austin Miles is a dime a dozen.

And there was one game that I thought Hurd got a bit of PT
Thehoofbite;1320628 said:So what exactly have you seen? Other then returning kicks, he hasn't done a single thing. Did he even have 1 catch this season?
wayne_motley;1320360 said:You guys are dreaming....Crayton, Hurd, and Miles are what they are, Special teamers who will probably compete with each other for the position of #3 receiver.
Crayton is not #1 material...I think that's been made clear over the past couple of years. The #3 receiver, if he's very talented, should be open on just about every play.
Rector isn't a fresh new guy...he's been here and couldn't even dress this year...maybe he'll eventually be a punt returner and at best, a #3 when we need him.
Miles Austin has not played at WR either, but you project him as a #1 or #2 starter???
The only guy I hope may have the ability to be at least a #2 guy is Hurd, but that's only a hope....We are NOT okay or fine at WR...we are aging with no one pushing for playing time...unless you think these guys are legit players that we just got lucky on and Parcells is holding them back.
Maybe you should at least get the Players name right before making assumptions.Eddie;1320532 said:For every Colston, there are 1000 undrafted guys blowing through like the wind (or a f*rt).

it's Miles Austin.
and second Hostile, and Eddie you know wy they arent getting any playing time, and nobody else besides us fans know about him?
well im sure seattle fans know about him if you know what i mean
is that we have Two #1's at WR. with a great #3 in Crayton.
I Guarantee you if Colston was on our team, he would have very limited playing time, or none at all.
and what would people like you say? oh he is not a #1 or #2, nobody even heard of him.
see my point?
now lay off the crack

anyways....i like what ive seen from Miles..in preseason...and regular games...preseason..he sshowed us he has hands...kick off returns we really got 2 see his his...he could very well develope into a starting reciever..maybe even great 1 day...
Hurd is another 1 i like....i love his hands..as we all saw in preseason..n the cards game were he started...n he has the the ability to out jump players n fight for the ball...as we saw in the redzone 1 time..and on a deep bomb during the houston texas game...
they both have the size...speed...n hands...to make it..we'll just have to watch n see

Chocolate Lab;1320804 said:I may have posted it 100 times already, but my view of Austin changed a lot once I went to a game and saw him in person in warmups. The guy looks like a real, true, legitimate starting NFL WR. He's got speed, but he's also fluid, can cut well enough to run good routes, catches the ball well (in his hands), and is plenty big. I was very impressed with him.
Sam Hurd, on the other hand, seems like more of a try-hard guy with limited athleticism. I admired how hard he was practicing, but I think he'll always be a fringe-type player.
