You do know a leg injury ended his career right, just wanted to point that out. So that kinda nullify that example.

Yeah I knew that....

After a decent mini camp and some Preseason games, everyone wanted to but Roy back at FS and have Berry-o at SS....

I was just suggesting that people get caught up in the hype of a couple of games and have the 'crystal ball' approach thus believing that a one game wonder with the case of the 'greased ball syndrome' can be something more than he is..

The only guy I hope may have the ability to be at least a #2 guy is Hurd, but that's only a hope....We are NOT okay or fine at WR...we are aging with no one pushing for playing time...unless you think these guys are legit players that we just got lucky on and Parcells is holding them back.
Right on the :money:

Why do some people still see potential in Jamaica Rector?!?!?!?!

He's very undersized, already 26 and hasn't sniffed the field, and not as fast as someone his size should be. He had a super productive college career, but that was in divII. His best shot in the pros is as punt returner but unless your name is Hester or Hall, it's likely that teams won't keep you on the active roster for being such a one dimensional player.

As for Hurd, Austin and Crayton, I think Miles has the biggest upside and could potentially be a 2 in time. I see Hurd and Crayton battling for the number 3 spot for a while. I realize alot of you are high on Crayton, but he disappears for long stretches too often (although that seemed to have changed once Romo took over). And he contributes nothing when it comes to special teams.

Yeah I remember when people thought the same thing about Jimmy Smith and everyone should know how that turned out.... Michael Irvin sure could have used Jimmy Smith...

Let's throw out 40's and all that, it's all about the will and determination inside the player!

Goofy Facemask? He has track speed, but he seems a bit football slow

If Miles is slow, the Cowboys need to find another KO returner.

The difference between Austin and Ra. Williams is that Randal was big and fast in a straight line, and that's all he had. He had no agility, no quickness, no ability to cut, and he couldn't catch.

Miles isn't as fast or tall, but I think he has the advantage in every other category.

he isnt fast or tall?? do u watch him on kick off returns??

he isnt tall? hes 6-3......TO is about 6-3..so hes short too right? oh n randy moss is 6-4..so hes short also?

what cowboys recievers are u watching? u must have got Miles mixed up with Crayton or sumthin....

People fail to remember that Owens was like a third round pick, so where you are drafted have nothing to do with how great ya'll be! There are more 1st round busts than any other round....

I didn't say he wasn't fast or tall... I actually said the opposite.

All I said when someone brought up Randal Williams was that Miles isn't as big (height or weight) as Williams. But I never said Austin was short or slow.

Geez.

You guys are dreaming....Crayton, Hurd, and Miles are what they are, Special teamers who will probably compete with each other for the position of #3 receiver.

Crayton is not #1 material...I think that's been made clear over the past couple of years.

How has that been made clear? By having the best reception % in the league?
He had one injury. Im not saying he can be #1 but he has come through on everything asked of him. He seemed to get open a bit more in 05 than 06 maybe.

A 3rd round receiver is a big difference than a UFA...

Ill take my chances developing a 3rd round receiver anyday over than a UFA...

There is a reason WR's are drafted in those rounds and thats potential and/or talent...
