I used to think he could get over it but I truly believe it's in his head now. I just wait for the mistakes anymore and sure enough they usually come.

Sorry he disappointed you in that win or go home Washington game last year.
That must have really sucked for you.

I do think the better line will help all around.
It seems almost every year of his career, by late season he is busted and battered to a pulp.
2010 never finished the season
2011 Football sized hand in week 17 and earlier broken ribs and pin urged lung
2012 Busted ribs and just battered by week 17
2013 did not make it to week 17

He brings some of that on himself by extending plays, but mostly they've had a crappy line the last 4 years...though I thought they came together pretty well late last year.
It's understandable why some would worry about his health.
Looking forward to this year's line though.

Oh 5 isn't enough

December 7th 2008
Pittsburgh scores 17 unanswered capped off by a romo pick six.

December 15th 2013
The Cowboys don't just blow big leads; they blow 23-point leads to Matt Flynn on five successive touchdown drives, with two Tony Romo interceptions in the final four minutes mixed in.

I won't do all the homework for you.
2007
Week 5, 15, NFC divisional round playoffs

2008
Week 17

2009
Week 2

2010
Week 4

There are more if I wanted to be more thorough.

These are all examples I use to back up my opinions. Try it some time. You got nothing.

Offensively, he's set up to succeed as well as any QB in the league. If the defense can be in the top 20 in the league, there's no excuse for Romo not to get another opportunity in the playoffs. I really think that this is his last chance to get it done. I'm hoping and praying that he can finally get that ring, and silence everyone.

And yet, those are less than almost any player in the league not named Brady or Rodgers and maybe a couple of others.
They all have their ugly moments

There needs to be some proof to back up this up. There is not another QB in the league that has the reputation for choking to the extent of Romo. Please provide stats. Anything?

To be fair, there's no QB in the NFL that's in the spotlight as much as Romo. Being the QB for America's Team is both a blessing and a curse.

One of the few games he's been clutch in after November but I'll give you that one although it was a 3-13 team and he nearly lost the game earlier.

We need every game we can get, yes.
And because we have him, we get far more than we would otherwise get.
Be thankful.

Considering that the options are Orton and Weeden, you are right. I have my doubts that there is not several QBs that are good enough to win more. When Kitna filled in after Romo's injury a few years ago, he had more wins than Romo up until that point of the season. Romo lovers dismiss that fact.

Man, I'll never forget that Giants game, Dez and Kitna had a hell of a connection going.

There's nothing you can say to get the "choker" crowd to put down their pitchforks.

They've always held onto those very limited bad plays as if it was their lifeblood to hatred entitlement.

It's like Staubach said after the Denver game last year; that he finally realized there were some out there that would never let up...even when the team lost after scoring 48 pts and punting one time, the QB had 500 yards, 5 TDs and only 1int. That one int would erase all the greatness and even the 51 points given up by the defense.

Most QBs will never have one game in their lives where they played or dreamed of playing that well, yet somehow there where some who blamed the loss on him.

Flat earthers. People that dumb can't be reasoned with.

Tony Romo is the stat champ!!!

Technically, the Dallas Cowboys are a stat champ. Collectively, they've come short for stacked years. So by the Romo hater standpoint, Dez Bryant is nothing but a stat champ, Demarcus Ware, Jason Witten and so on and so on. All chokers. All stat padders.

It's actually sad that Romo is almost fated to go down as one of the most under-appreciated players in Cowboys history, more than Don Meredith and Danny White. The Cowboys lost games in 2013 when they scored 48, 30, and 36 points and people think Romo is the problem. Has Romo not played up to par in certain "elimination games"? Of course. But I've seen him come up big in the clutch before on many occasions as well. It's just a tiresome argument, and it's going to be going on long after Romo is gone and we're back dumpster diving for a quarterback, like 2001-2005.

Sad that we averaged 28 ppg and are the only team in 20 years to not make the playoffs with that stat. I guess having the worst defense in history is Tonys fault.

The QB position is overrated. Football "teams" make memorable Dynasty franchises. When you think of the Cowboys just a few decades ago, you don't just think of Troy Aikman. You think of Michael Irvin, Emmit Smith, Jay Novacek, Tony Casillas, The Moose, Alvin Harper, Even the back up QBs Steve Beuerlein, Jason Garrett, Mike Saxon, Lin Elliot, Ken Norton, Tony Tolbert, Russell Maryland, Jim Jeffcoat, Darren Woodson, Leon Lett, Charles Haley, Nate Newton, Deon Sanders etc.. I named those off of the top of my head. It's easy to spout off the offense first because they're the ones lighting up the scoreboard the most. However, it wouldn't matter, if all they did was give up 51 points a game. Tony Romo is an important part to this franchise. However, he is one player on a 53 man roster. If they're not all going out there to win it, it won't matter who's throwing the ball. You have to build a team of players who want to win BAD.

No problem man.. I respect your opinion and enjoy your posts. He did pull it off in the game against a bad team with the very last throw. He did a good job but I wouldn't point to that game and say Romo is clutch. When it is for all the marbles (playoff/division) you can count on one thing.. and that is him getting butterflies in his stomach and choking.
