Those are all bad with the exception that one could point out that the stepped on foot in the Denver game is an explanation for that one.

Not to mention one could build a video of the same garbage with any other favored QB. I've seen a video on Tom Brady not being clutch. Hilarious. They had facts and stats to back it up. I've seen articles on Peyton Manning being a choker. http://www.givemesport.com/417078-is-peyton-manning-a-choker

At the end of the day, you have to stop listening to the haters. One player does not win a game. Everyone has to do their job. From the Coach to the Kicker. Every player makes mistakes. Tony has his and the other 52 probably have a LOT more but, you won't hear it as much because, the QB is the face of the franchise. I guess when Yu Darvish gives up 2 runs and the Rangers don't score, it's his fault for not being clutch. Lol. Let's be real, most people that are football fans have never played more than a pitch and catch game with their friends or some high school ball. They're masters of the Madden tournament. They've no concept of what all makes an NFL team successful. They just buy the low hanging fruit coming out of Stephen A. Smith's mouth, or some other out of state analyst who writes a sports column. I have a lot of faith in our QB. Are there better QB's in the NFL? Sure, one could make an argument for that at just about every position on every team.

We need every game we can get, yes.
And because we have him, we get far more than we would otherwise get.
Be thankful.

I can live with that statement. My opinion of Romo has always been that he is a good QB with some major flaws. He is the team's best chance if winning right now. I have always believed that and I have always been labeled a hater. I can say that Jerry has went out if his way to make sure that Romo has no competition at the QB position. Now Romo's faults include weak leadership and he will choke in big games. Anybody that denies him choking loses credibility. It has happened several times. Now, I have admitted that Romo is a good QB with faults. Are you able to admit that he chokes in some of the bigger games? If you are honest with yourself, you will admit that he does. If not, your emotions have clouded your judgement to the point of being unreasonable. Will you admit to the choking?

I think Romo loves competition at all levels and in all sports he competes in. Absolutely loves it and lives for it. I've always thought there was a massive disconnect in what some label as choking (how is that,by the way, when the player is one of the best ever in 4th qtr comeback wins?) and someone trying to do too much to make up for the mostly mediocre team around him. A player, by way, who is nowhere near perfect. One who given his imperfections maybe should not jump into the lions den as often as he does. He's not remotely afraid of the big stage, but he has too much Favre without the Favre arm to go with it.

No, as a former athlete who comes from a long line of coaches and athletes, I do know the difference between those who are afraid of the pressure and are always choking or shriveling up from it..vs those who love it and thrive in it--like Romo--but maybe go too far at times and fail due to real and normal human limitations.

Guilty of trying todo too much or of making too aggressive decisions..sometimes in big moments ( not at all choking traits, by the way)? Yes!
A choker? No

lol.

I wanted to shake my head at Romo because those were some poor decisions (with a couple of weak OL protections), but I kept shaking my head more at the video. Recording the screen of a television. lol. What's next? Use the record feature on your smartphone to record songs over the car radio speaker?

lol. I've played it about four times already. Too funny. Romo's interceptions? No. Video? Heck yeah.

The video must have been taken in an earthquake zone... the screen's shaking like crazy...

I thought the back-breaking "mistakes" would iron themselves out as Romo gained more experience but I was wrong. I'm a huge fan of Romo simply because I know how hard it is to find a true franchise QB but I also see his flaws. The reality is that when Romo replaced Bledsoe and started having success, I compared him (in my mind) to Phil Simms.. Had BP stuck around another year or two I think Romo's career would be completely different. I would have been perfectly happy with a Phil Simms type QB who was an efficient game manager led by a quality HC who understands the ebb and flow of the game and could coach his QB. I don't think Romo has had that since the day BP left the building. Jerry and company have tried to make him into Favre, Brady, Manning, Marino and Elway instead of Simms, Aikman, etc. with far inferior coaching and that's what's hurt him the most.

Offensively, he's set up to succeed as well as any QB in the league. If the defense can be in the top 20 in the league, there's no excuse for Romo not to get another opportunity in the playoffs. I really think that this is his last chance to get it done. I'm hoping and praying that he can finally get that ring, and silence everyone.

About as true as it gets.

Uh Peyton's not clutch, matter of fact I'd take Eli if I needed a game winning td in the super bowl.

I think the choke label applies when he blows it with him knowing that he is not able to make the play anyway. He simply should not try it. His judgement gets clouded, which is a failure on the mental level. He is able to get away with it against lesser talent, but he is not against the better teams. That explains why his comebacks are successful against poor teams and he has very, very few comebacks against teams with winning records.

You make a good point. I thought he would outgrow the late game blunders and when I realized that he wasn't, I got off the Romo bandwagon and was ready for him to move on. Different coaches would have made a big difference in his career. BP had gave him advice that included him not being "that guy" , the one that stays in tabloid news. BP left and the next season Romo took heat for his trip with Jessica Simpson the week before a playoff game. BP saw Romo's weaknesses, but he was not around to do much about them.

Oh, I agree. I'm just pointing out that I can easily google all coveted QB's and find a hate article on them. It's the nature of the beast. Especially when you're a Dallas Cowboy. The more rings, the more expectations for the face of the franchise.

Tom Brady and Ben R can say that for every big game blunder they've had they also have had big game heroics, so they kinda get a pass. While someone may be able to compile a video of their failures they also would have to show one of their big game heroics, Romo has the first video he just needs to work on the second one.

The Cowboys need to work on the second one. They collectively suck.
