I'm with you 99% of the time, but I don't think who the team we're playing against matters. That was a really good read by him on that play, and there's no doubt, he made the play when it counted. I'm willing to criticize him when he chokes (Green Bay, Denver, etc...), but you also have to give him credit when he pulls it off.

No problem man.. I respect your opinion and enjoy your posts. He did pull it off in the game against a bad team with the very last throw. He did a good job but I wouldn't point to that game and say Romo is clutch. When it is for all the marbles (playoff/division) you can count on one thing.. and that is him getting butterflies in his stomach and choking.

I hear you. I do hope that he gets one more chance in the playoffs, one more chance to prove that he can will a team to a victory on the biggest stage.

I hope he does too.. I like him as a person but I have given up on him as the QB of our team. My heart has been ripped out enough. For those thinking that he is going to change, it is like the definition of insanity. He will prove you wrong every time.

I used to think he could get over it but I truly believe it's in his head now. I just wait for the mistakes anymore and sure enough they usually come.

Nah, you don't "change" a 34 year old QB, he is what he is. If he was 26 years old, this is a totally different conversation, and we're talking about how many SB's he'll eventually win. Unfortunately, he's not a guy at this point that can will a team to a title, and the team around him isn't a team that can carry him to a title.

That passive aggression of yours is getting really lame. Rampage...

You give Romo credit for winning a game "against a bad team". lol How nice of you.

Whatever.
The Giants game was opening night prime time national tv too and a far bigger game. They were defending SB champs and the hype was off the charts.
We...won..the..game.
But somehow, you seem to think that Jets game is more important.
It's very telling.

If you want to pick games where Romo didn't play well, do the same for every other QB that ever played.
You guys put way too much emphasis on the bad, when it's far, far outweighed by the good.

And no, I'm not even one who things Romo is top 5 or irreplaceable. I know he has flaws.

So, Romo doesn't choke in every game means that we should ignore the games that he does? Don't you think that this team has needed the one or two wins that the choke jobs are costing every year?

The Cowboys had a punt blocked for a touchdown in that Jets game. Romo should have done a better job with that, too.;)

I would have been happy if he had one less fumble and one less interception.

Anyone that even dreams of using that Denver game as a negative on Romo has been truly revealed to be a blind hater. That was almost a perfect game. One the best played games by any QB at any time....at least that's what Staubach, Aikman, Warner, etc all said. We punted one time. He threw 5 TDs and had 500 yards vs 1int. Unbelievable effort.

But in truth, all of the division games meant more than that one.
Oh, that's right, we were 5-0 in those games conveniently not mentioned.

You got that right. It was almost perfect except for the late interception.

Wow...five whole games. Romo sucks.

You need a new trail....
Oh 5 isn't enough?

December 7th 2008
Pittsburgh scores 17 unanswered capped off by a romo pick six.

December 15th 2013
The Cowboys don't just blow big leads; they blow 23-point leads to Matt Flynn on five successive touchdown drives, with two Tony Romo interceptions in the final four minutes mixed in.

I won't do all the homework for you.
2007
Week 5, 15, NFC divisional round playoffs

2008
Week 17

2009
Week 2

2010
Week 4

There are more if I wanted to be more thorough.

These are all examples I use to back up my opinions. Try it some time. You got nothing.

It's a myth. I read it right here on CZ. QB's can't will their teams to victory on their own.
How sad for you....

smh
Said the kid who was picked last on the playground. You got anything else to do besides provide snide remarks?

Romo's come close to willing us to quite a few key victories. Unfortunately, close doesn't cut it.

The Romo haters are right on one count- without Romo, the Cowboys will stop losing big games.

Because without Romo, the Cowboys won't be in any big games.

Did we get blown out against the Eagles without him last year?

Wow, I'm surprised by all that have been in the huddle with Romo and know he can't "will".

We need every game we can get, yes.
And because we have him, we get far more than we would otherwise get.
Be thankful.

And yet, those are less than almost any player in the league not named Brady or Rodgers and maybe a couple of others.
They all have their ugly moments
