If I were a Brave's fan, I would like this deal.

The Angels picked up a heck of a glove, but there farm system is now empty. They're going to have to rely on free agency now. Personally I don't see them being able to hang with either Houston or Texas the next few seasons.

And Scioscia will keep on being the manager

That's good... they'll keep losing.

But the former GM (and maybe this one too) has a lot to answer for. The contracts given out to free agents were as stoopid as the ones the Yankees and Red Sox gave out.

Ha Ha on the keep losing. True.

CJ Wilson & Josh Hamilton. Pujols . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Like I posted before, it just shows there is plenty of money for teams to spend.

Yeah, I just saw that. Not a surprise on that one. Also wasn't surprised Davis and Chen didn't accept.

I know no fan likes the idea of rebuilding, but getting some extra picks would be a good move for the Orioles... their minor league system is kinda below average at this point and some new farm-hands would be a good move.

Daniel Murphy waiting until 4:59 to decline the QO. I think I would rather Murphy be there and replace Duda at first place.

I think there is a better chance they sign Davis than Chen.

#Padres getting Margot, Guerra, Asuaje, and Allen from #RedSox for Kimbrel, per @JonHeymanCBS, @alexspeier and others.

Strong return for #Padres. Need to rebuild system, and Kimbrel was a luxury along with Benoit. Can find lesser relievers to thrive at Petco.

The Red Sox gave up their 3rd 6th 23rd 26th ranked prospect’s.

Are you saying they never learn? :D

LOL!

They didn't quite gut their farm system, but they certainly gave up some quality picks– for a reliever.

I could see for starter... but for a reliever... I'm glad Houston didn't do that.

I agree thats a lot for a bullpen arm, even a good one.

PHILADELPHIA -- Phillies general manager Matt Klentak is fulfilling his promise of acquiring as much pitching as possible before next season.

The Phillies announced Saturday afternoon they had acquired right-hander Jeremy Hellickson from the D-backs for Minor League pitcher Sam McWilliams. Hellickson, 28, went 9-12 with a 4.62 ERA in 27 starts last season.

Yawn.

There's a difference between pitching and good pitching (or even "meh" pitching).
