The new "Chris Davis" huh?

More of a "poor-mans" Chris Davis.

If Trumbo managed to double his walk-rate (which ain't gonna happen at this point), he'd be a decent player.

He's managed to up his average a little but his power is starting to wane.

Maybe a fallback option. Can DH, play OF or 1B so good to have even if we resign Chris Davis. We need somebody like him either way IMO.

The Astro's essentially released Chris Carter.

And they traded Hank Conger to the Rays.

Carter will not be hard to replace.

Conger's bat will be, but his defense wasn't great and his ability to stop a running game non-existent.

Cleveland is looking at Pedro Alvarez and Chris Carter, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, with the thinking that both would slot in at designated hitter. Alvarez and Carter weren't tendered contracts by the Pirates and Astros, respectively.

Well yeah! LOL!

If you can't come up with a better player than Chris Carter... Well.

Maybe Dan Duquette will take a flyer on him if the Indians dont. He's had good luck with getting some production out of castoffs, until this past season. Not a one panned out. He had his own versions of Joe Randle and C Mike etc.

If Carter could damage lefties... well then you have something here!

But when you're equally lousy vs. both... You just throw up your arms.

The Orioles needed somebody that could hammer lefties this past season.

But there are plenty of guys that cant do it.
