Depends on the Nats pitching.

Yup, you don’t want to risk a game 7 IMO. If they wait until game 7 to pitch him, he is pretty much useless in the WS, will only get one game most likely unless they pitch him on short rest again but that adds up quickly.

On a short rest Cole will be more hittable risking a game 7 where Stros have no legit starter with ample rest.

It is a poison pill for sure but I trust Cole more than Verl on short rest. Like I said, if they pitch him Sunday, then the rotation for the World Series will be in shambles.......if they get there.

Won their last 8 @ the end of the year...are red hot. Have the starting pitching to match up w/ either team. I question their bull pen depth....but they are playing well right now.

I'll take it. Yeah...I don't get that move pitching Verlander tonight...maybe trying to end it tonight. But as soon as NY scored 4...I would have pulled him to save him for 6 or 7. Ask yourself this...who would you want? Verlander after 26 pitches or their bullpen for game 6 or 7. Sure Verlander saved their pen tonight...but @ what expense?
