What are your thoughts on the Blue Jays this year?

They've got some young talent.

Certainly surprising at this point. Not sure they have enough talent to hang with the Yankees and Red Sox all season.

But should end up a head of the Orioles and Devil Rays.

Mets bullpen has been great. Lugo, Seawald, and Gsellman have been as good as they can be. The weak links appear to be Zack Wheeler, Harvey, and Matz. Vargas comes back this weekend so hopefully he can be consistent. Harvey is now in the bullpen and probably should be used only for Mop up duty. That is sad to see but he just cant seem to be right since surgery two years ago. Maybe Scot Boras was right afterall but Harvey in 2018 is not like Harvey in 2015.

They have to get the starters straightend out and get a catcher that can hit every now and then. Gonzalez has been ok but they should probably move Bruce over to first so they can get Nimmos bat in the game.

Go Mets...

Harvey is becoming a clubhouse cancer. He has lost it and I am not convinced he even knew/knows how to pitch. It used to be covered up from his fastball and movement on it but now that part is gone, he sucks.

He will get moved or released, sooner than later IMO. He is belittling the media now and generally in a bad place. It is time for him to go, such a shame too :(

So, I had been dying watching my favorite baseball players eat sunflower seeds during the games. The memories of raw cheek, shell splinters in my gums and teeth... and the delicious yolk of nut-seed!

Was at Ralph's today and picked up a couple 5 oz bags! Gonna be splitting and spitting from the coucherino!

I saw the highlight this morning.

Long way to go still.
I watched it live and it was horrible. The Angels had that game, a Severino game. Middleton has been solid, one of the bright spots in the bp, too. I'm happy I wasn't at that game - to lose in extra innings with that many Yankees fans in our own house... it's almost as bad as when the Dodgers are in town. No offense, Sarek, but I hate the Yankees lol (and Boston and the Dodgers)

This is disgusting. Angels have no pitchers capable of going deep into games. Hell, they can't even get past the 5th most nights. 2 of the Angels' starters are flirting with tj surgery (Richards, Heaney), and another on the dl probably needs it (Shoemaker).

There is a massive, massive hole in RF and DH. If y'all haven't read the recent Fangraphs article on Pujols' real age, I suggest you read it. I'll post a link. He's 40-41. And it's always been known, but just having it in the open now, makes me irate when I look at him. He's squandering the prime years of Trout. Even the Yankees cut sling load on ARod when he wasn't hitting. We need to eat the damned salary. I respect his ungodly numbers (600 hr 3000 hits is unreal, he'll be the fourth ever), but he's a negative WAR player. Even CJ Cron, whom they traded for nothing, is hitting better. This is a big deal, as it blemishes his legacy (his late career legacy that all the greats have), and he is negatively affecting a potentially greater player in front of him.

If Arte Moreno doesn't give Eppler a green light to cut/DFA Pujols after this season, I wont blame Trout if he leaves. Nor will I forgive Moreno.

The Yankees are a damned buzzsaw right now. Just like Boston when the Angels ran into them. ******* Angels pitching boosting the MVP chances for both Betts and Didi. Trout says 'thanks again,' Angels

Edit -- Baseballprospectus, not Fangraphs. Great read if you're not a fan of the Angels https://www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article/39462/rubbing-mud-aging-angel/

I see the Angels relievers are leading the league in innings-pitched which ain't a good thing... They'll be toast by the All-Star game.
