Fans always think they know better. Most the time when fans whine about clock management, their ideas would have turned out worse.

Dallas called timeout after screen to Luepke. Incredibly stupid timeout. Then they rush the snap after the review when Dak was downed at the 1. He made numerous mistakes. In both halves
Did you see what happened the 2 times they tried to hurry up the play before. One an INT, the other a sack fumble.
MM did the right thing. Slow it down, make sure you get the right plays called.

This guy is an absolute bone head when it comes to managing the clock. That display was a total embarrassment.
Throw in the complete lack of awareness of Jalen Brooks 1st down from the sideline, they should have signaled to Dak to slow it down. If the QB feeling it....the Coaching staff is still responsible for Game situations.

McCarthy got lucky

Tomlin made a mistake not taking the timeout to prevent the 10 second runoff, taking it from 47 to 37. This was compounded by the fact that it was a running clock, so Dak should have let some time run off before the next snap, but he didn't. Mike should have been on it, but ultimately the time wasn't our problem, it was the 2nd down play nearly ruining the drive.

I will never understand winning the coin toss and electing to receive. The Cowboys did that yet again and got a FG from the opening drive. That meant they had to kickoff the 2nd half. And of course, the Stealers went down and scored a TD.
