3 years ago and that playoff loss to SF MM preached that they will address the penalties, 3 years later they still lead the league in penalties. Last playoff loss he talked about playing with urgency on the road, they are now 3-4 with 3 losses by 20 plus points. Today he talks about this gap on the road as if we and more importantly players will now listen when it’s 3 years of the same mistakes. Sure MM’s teams beat bad teams by 30. If the plan is to win a SB we all know it won’t happen with this coach and certainly not this year with having to win 3 straight on the road to get there. If JJ is content with losing in the second round then keep the status quo.
Really?? they're on one of the best stretches in Cowboys history since the 90s in consistently winning games and getting into the playoffs three straight years with double digit wins
SO!
by the way let me drop some knowledge on you ,
maybe you haven't paying attention you know Pete Carroll his team leads the league in penalties a lot and by the way they won a Super Bowl and went to another Super Bowl and back-to-back years in 2013 and 2014 leading the league in penalties you could hardly control what the rest do lot of those ticky tack penalties a lot of the head scratching penalties or you're playing aggressively.
blaming this on the head coach alone is ridiculous, you can't in this league in the NFL full professional millionaires under contract with unions make ultimatums like you can in high school and college. you cannot cut players ,you cannot sit players, they make too much money, they're far too important because a lot of these penalties are happening by our superstars or at least our 22 starters.
So again, why didn't they fire Pete Carroll?? Pete Carroll's regularly has his team in the top five and penalties but again because this is not sit with you let it land, they won a Super Bowl in 2013 leading the league in penalties and they got back to another Super Bowl in 2014 and would have won if it would have been a stupid play call had to go line leading the league in penalties please stop acting like this is some death sentence...
All Mike McCarthy can do is each week in practice and film sessions have his coaches in instill the fact that they need to stop with the penalties but if you look at last week the first two are so ticky tack to me that was not roughing the passer and to me that was not a penalty on Kearse hitting the WR.. So how are the players and coaches supposed to overcome when the refs make these boneheaded calls?
It's an all time bad era in officiating, think about all the people right now saying there's a conspiracy even though it may not be true it looks like that because that's how incompetent and no accountability being held to the referees.... They are affecting games that game snowballed out of control because two of those penalties last week could have went the other way they have too much control and if those are not called we probably have a pretty good shot that staying in that game longer and making adjustments...
