MNF, Skins Versus Eagles

Living in the DC area, this is no contest for me. Having to listen to the sports and talk radio is no fun after a skins win. You know the old adage, two favorite teams Boys and any one playing the Skins.

While it is not fun to listen to sports after a win, it is quite enjoyable after a skins loss. There are actually guys on talk radio around here (Ric Doc Walker & Brian Mitchell) who will rip the skins after a loss.

Synder has actually started another station because he hates these guys ripping the skins.

Agreed. How did he keep his Monday Night gig? Sometimes it's just painfull to listen to him. ABC just can't seem to get some decent guys any more.

A friend here (won't say who) tried to convince me to bet the spread on Indy and Cincinatti this weekend. I didn't because I had a gut feeling the games would be a good bit closer. Thank goodness.

I have a similar gut feeling that the Commanders are going to win. We are sick and tired of the disrespect, being told we do things the wrong way again and again, and having all these mediots say we have no talent, no heart, etc.

The Eagles may still win but they are in for a hell of a fight if they do. I'm more concerned about a letdown week 3 at home against the Giants which we can't afford especially if the Eagles win.

I will never ever root for the eagles! But, it's a double edged sword for me because if the RedStinks win you suckers will be over here with your little chests all puffed out, proclaiming how great the RedStinks are!

So, if the eagles win, no sweat from me because maybe one or two eagle fans might come here crowing like a damn crow, but if your team wins, all hell will break loose over here with all you trolls showing up ONLY after a win...and that is the pathetic double edged sword!

Believe me, after three 5-11 seasons in a row under our belt we were feeling the same way. But I'll tell you what. It doesn't matter how we or you (as fans) feel that matters. The team can go right on stinking when the fans have had their bellies full. Now if you're a player on the roster, then how you feel might have some validity and influence on the game.

BTW, I'm not saying your team stinks. I don't take any team lightly. Look at what the Browns did yesterday. I'm referring to my own experience with our team during the Campo years. But I assume you are a die hard fan just like I am so you'll stick with them through thick and thin.

I've never done it...I have never went to an opponents board to crow about a win...it's just pointless to me. However, I can see why some opposing fans come here because they JUST WANT SOME RESPECT from the Cowboy fans!

I'm actually more interested in this game than most since these guys are our rivals. I can't get too fired up about Miami vs. Buffalo or Seattle vs. St. Louis, but this one has some interest for me.

I think the Eagles will pound them tonight, and that's fine with me. I'd rather the Skins not get any positive momentum with the relatively easy schedule they have.

living in DC and bieng a Cowboys fan you grow to hate the Deadskins but after Philly fans cheered when Irvin went down I hate them as much. I would rather see the Skins 2-0 than the Eagles 1-1. That would make our match up better when we play them if both teams are still doing well. I love that rivalry.

I'm in DC also and love to hear Ric and Brian rip the Skins but I hope they win b/c that will give my 2 brothers something to talk trash about and I love when my mom and I go against them LOL.
