With a salary of almost $3 million, he is not coming back next year.

That was his last game as a Cowboy

He probably would be if Scandrick had not come on and became a starting-caliber corner. As much as Claiborne hasn't lived up to being a high first-round pick, Dallas would be counting on him (or drafting another first-rounder to replace him) if not for Scandrick.

As is, he'll join Jenkins as first-round corners who could not stay healthy or play up to their billing with Dallas, unless the Cowboys feel the need to give him a last shot at it. That might largely depend on the play of Moore and Patmon for the rest of this season.

To add: Since his money's guaranteed, Mo will most likely get one more shot next year.

I wouldn't doubt Claiborne could come back next year for cheap. There's not exactly a market for him.

Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne has been diagnosed with a torn left patellar tendon, and is done for the season.
He'll be placed on injured reserve. The Cowboys initially feared a torn ACL, but a patellar-tendon injury is just as bad. It's quite possible the ailment will end Claiborne's star-crossed tenure with the Cowboys. He's due a fully-guaranteed $2.607 million in the final year of his rookie contract, but has been injury prone and ineffective since first stepping on an NFL field. Dallas' top three corners are Brandon Carr, Orlando Scandrick and Sterling Moore. Sep 29 - 2:22 PM

It didn't look like a torn ACL to me on TV. I think he was back pedaling or something.
