Mo Claiborne or Bobby Wagner?

Simple question, i was wondering what some of my fellow Cowboys fans thoughts were on this.

If we could do it over again (I know), would you rather move up again to get Mo Claiborne or would you rather keep our picks and take Janoris Jenkins and Bobby Wagner?

My choice would still be the latter.

I honestly don't care too much for Jenkins considering that he wasn't better than a few other CB rookies last year either.

I thought the pick would have been Brockers though? Or am I forgetting an important detail?

There were several rumors on who the pick would have been.. im not sure who we would have taken, but assuming we still wanted to go corner, my pick would have been Jenkins.

What rookie corners do you think were better than him last year though? I thought he had a very productive season, and not just for a rookie.

little early to write the book on this isn't it? We don't know for sure what Claiborne will accomplish yet

Jenkins was and still is a character risk. I know that Seattle is thrilled with Wagner and Dallas liked him too.

Jenkins & Wagner, based on last years production. I worry if Mo will ever be what we really want. Did not show me much last year.

Im not publishing my novel yet, sir.. we don't know for sure what any of the three will accomplish over their careers yet. That goes without saying, really. Just getting opinions on who everyone would rather have on the Cowboys right now.

I'd never take Jenkins but it's fair to ask if we wouldn't be better off with Wagner and Brockers right now. I'd probably take the two players.

Oh great, a "what if/ what would you do question"...what is this doing for you? Can jerry or the nfl go in a time machine with enough votes?

Wagner is a great player, but we already have our MLB.

Yea, i mean again we don't really know who the target was if we didn't move up in round one, although its pretty clear we wanted Wags in round 2. My target would have been Jenkins because i still wanted a corner in round one, but Brockers would be fair as well.

Always Mo. I just love the player and I think he has a huge ceiling. I also like Brockers and Wagner as well, but I think with a healthy NFL offseason he's going to be a good one this year.

Not ready to even thin about this because the development curve. Ask me after year 3 in their careers.

For right now, I'd agree. But way too soon to make that call. Jenkins may fall back into bad behavior habits. Claiborne may turn into the next Revis. Wagner may be a stud, or might get hurt. Just too many variables to make that call right now.

Two good starters trumps one. Jenkins off the field is a concern though.

I see that already some of you are over thinking this. This isn't life or death. This isn't a question about how each player's entire career path will eventually play out. Keep it simple.

Right now, would you rather have Mo Claiborne, or Janoris Jenkins and Bobby Wagner as members of the Dallas Cowboys going into training camp 2013?

Also, to the mods, is it really necessary to change the thread title? Not much going on today for you guys and gals?

Fair point, although he appeared to be ok through his first season.

This topic had been debated to death and is illogical considering we have no idea how our trade affected the rest of the draft.

Jerry or Stephen (I think it was Stephen) already said those are the two guys we'd have taken.

They said for sure that we'd have taken Brockers? I hadn't heard that, interesting. I'd have much rather gone for Jenkins at the time, instead of having Brockers play a 34 DE.

You never know for sure, but that's what they claimed. And it made sense, really, as a lot of people thought we had interest in him. The Wagner one was a "huh"? comment at the time but of course he turned out to be a heck of a pick.

I'm sure they didn't want Jenkins for his massive character concerns, and I wouldn't either. I like Fisher a lot and wish we had him, but I have to think eventually guys like him and Ogletree have a great chance of backfiring on him.
