Mock Draft on ESPN Last night

They did a Mock Draft last night with Todd McShay and Bill Polian as commentators.

The idea was to have reporters from each teams towns to pick for the teams so it was not McShay or Polian making the picks.

All the First round DBs were wiped out by our pick except for Jalen Collins LSU.

There were also some WRs that went first round that have been climbing that were not thought to be 1st rounders or upper 1st rounders that went before us like Nelson Agholor (sp?) and Devin Smith.

The picks that we might be interested that fell were Kendricks, DT Malcom Brown, Shane Ray (who they talked about the turf toe but did not seem to know or did not discuss his arrest that morning), Jalen Collins and OO.

I thought Todd Archer was going to pick Jalen Collins and I was going to groan but He picked Kendricks.
Now Polian and McShay said that they should have taken Shane Ray (again never discussed his arrest)...I thought if Malcom Brown (even if they have not had visits with him) would be too good to pass on there.

But as I have stated in other threads...I think Kendricks is someone they are very interested in and if the CB and RB (gordon and gurley) are wiped in the first they would take Kendricks.

I think if that scenario played out on Thursday, I would not be shocked if Kendricks is the pick.

I was watching the PFT on NBCSI(sp?) draft show with some guys I have never heard off.

They had Trae Waynes not being in the first round at all.
They had some other players ranked higher and in the first that I have not seen in other mocks (names escape me now).

However, like I was thinking was going to happen above, they picks CB Jalen Collins from LSU for us...boooo.

I think if that scenario played out on Thursday, I would not be shocked if Kendricks is the pick.

If they don't like Shane Ray due to his turf toe and or his arrest...Kendicks could indeed be the pick.

I just don't know how they feel about Malcom Brown since they have not shown much interest in him however I also don't know if they think he would not fall so they did not bring him in.

They have had multiple visits, talks, views with Kendricks so I think they do indeed like him. I get the feeling he is the guy they like but might pass on him if there was a top end RB (gurley or gordon) that fell to them or a CB they really liked (not sure all of the considered first rounders would trump kendricks for them).

Me neither, but I think they'll first look to trade out of 27 and take him in a trade down.

I love Kendrick's, but if Brown is there I run to the podium and submit his name...I keep hearing they still like Crawford as an end who slides in.... I don't get that, because I love him at the 3...Brown could play the 1 or the 3.

Best player at his position and also happens to be at our biggest need position.

I don't either but I would love to have him in the interior.

This coincides with King mocking guys like Agholor, Dorsett, Fisher and Randall in the first.

I do not believe they will pick Brown either,they believe they already have a very good 3 tech in crawford and Hardy also plays 3 when needed.if the top CBs are gone then they will either pick Mckinney or a DE( OO or Hunter).they have shown a lot of interest in mckinney from the start.

I guess I'd have to trust the decision makers, but I'd be pretty disappointed if we took a two down linebacker at 27.

Thanks for taking the time to share this info. I love this kind of stuff because my schedule doesn't allow me much time to catch these shows on TV.
I'd be cool w Kendricks but really wanna see a CB slide to 27.

I dont think the cowboys see him as a 2 down LB,they must really love his athleticism and he is a good blitzer and rush from the DE spot.

It isn't as obvious a need as CB, but I think Kendricks would be a serious playmaker in this league and the defense needs playmakers in a bad way.

You are talking about McKinney and not Kendricks...correct?
