First, tell me who she is.
She was in Northern Exposure, wasn't she? Married one of Jerry's kids. And Janine Turner
Got kind of a Dana Delaney thing going on in this picture. She's an actress who grew up in Ft. Worth and had a child with Jerry Jones Jr.
I remember seeing a show where they were using these for homeless people. I can't remember which city it was in, but it was a good story of people helping those unable to help themselves. It wasn't nearly as elaborate as this one though.Modular homes and manufactured homes are passe. The future of alternative home building is in shipping container homes:

A lot of places I deliver lumber to stack them, and even bridge them, using them for storage. I never see them opening them, so I assume they're more for defunct and out of date equipment than for building supplies. The trade imbalance in the US has resulted in an inundation of these containers, and they are relatively inexpensive. I live in a port town, and I see them used extensively as supplemental storage units by both homes and businesses. A Google Image search will show the variety, complexity and sophistication of designs that have been utilized in creating living spaces with containers as their infrastructure. I've considered using them if and when I decide to purchase land in a remote area.
Just had a kid from Jr., he's married to someone else. Saw years ago when the girl was a teen and they said that the Jones' didn't have much to do with her.She was in Northern Exposure, wasn't she? Married one of Jerry's kids.
Yer' truly fortunate in yer' insulating ability in not relating to my post, bro,,,& ,,, I'm still pretty good with that,,,I'm in Canada. So most of what you said I can not relate to...lol
Well,I could groove to it,if located in a relatively low swinging temperent climate,,, you can't bury them( which is what they should be ideally suited for, without a crap ton of main roof beam pillar & side wall reinforced support , my "top kick " marine bro while deployed to Afghanistan said that just with the barely minimum of 3&1/2 to 4'foot of sand over burden they deemed necessary for incoming mortar/ rocket attack protection, they would collapse like an m-t beer can& bracing floor to ceiling & wall to wall negates the practical purposes,,, one exterior braced& buried, though, would make a slick little hydroponics climate controlled grow lab out in the back yard ,,, er,,,for cabbage,,, lots& lots of year round green cabbage.Modular homes and manufactured homes are passe.
