I would have cut woods after his effort comment. I dont want anyone that thinks that way near this team. If you dont think you need to give 100 percent every play (obviously its not possible but keep your mouth shut about it) then you dont belong in a sport paying you the way it does. I know if I was making close to even the vet minimum the one thing that would never be questioned is my effort.Bolton
Better Player
Plus id rather X. Woods for another season than Clear-Eye Doo Doo
If he is a shorter Sean Lee he would go in the 20s. He reminds me of Hitchens.I disagree, about being able to finding another Bolton. He has Sean Lee type instincts, which many linebackers do not possess.
He has a chance to become a top 25 pick, many believe at this time, probably right after that range. If he is a shorter Sean Lee he would go in the 20s. He reminds me of Hitchens.
Yeah like Patrick Queen for the Ravens. He has a chance to become a top 25 pick, many believe at this time, probably right after that range.
Yes, in that same range.Yeah like Patrick Queen for the Ravens.
There are definitely things to like about Bolton but if you get nauseated at the way Jaylon doesn’t take on blocks and runs around blocks (taking him out of the play) you shouldn’t expect that to be resolved with Bolton. Watch his game cutups rather than his highlights.
You could make that same argument about all the modern linebackers, the majority run around not take on blockers.I've read the same. He has better instincts it appears but he tries to use his athleticism much like Smith did to get around people.
I'd take Moehrig.

Tell that to Lve, who does possess elite traits for the position and still struggles badly taking on blockers. Not exactly, but even if somewhat true guys with prototypical size ~6’-2-3” 245-255 lbs can physically take on blocks if need be. For Bolton, at his size it’s not an option.

Just saying not every linebacker with elite size/length are good at taking on blockers.Lol?
Okay, so LVE establishes the norm for all linebackers?
Bolton hands down.Let's assume Cowboy Front Office signs bridge, 1 yr types at each position in fa. The likes of Barmore/Nixon are already off the board. Cowboys have a chance to move up in the 2nd rd in which both Moehrig/Bolton are still available, which name would you write on the card?
-The centerfield, single-high free safety is needed in Quinn's cover 3 scheme. The drop-off could be great after him at the position. Not the best tackler, nor excels in man coverage.
-Bolton fills the Mike Linebacker need and instantly improves our run defense day 1. He has size/length limitations and is probably physically maxed out.
I would say Moehrig because I think he’s the perfect fit for this defense. And to get him we probably need to move up. I’ve seen some rankings that have him in the middle of the 1st round. ESPN in their initial rankings have him I believe in the top 15.
Bolton > Moehrig. We can go FS is the 3rd.I would also lean Moehrig, but Bolton's timed speed isn't that important to me. I believe Sean Lee ran 4.7, but he played so fast due to his high level instincts. Always made it to a spot quicker then his blocking assignment.
