The Claiborne situation underscores one undeniable fact- we suck at drafting cornerbacks. Mo Claiborne, BW Webb, Josh Thomas, Jamar Wall, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, DeAngelo Smith, and Mike Mickens since 2009.

Even Jenkins was effectively a bust. He had a quiet rookie year in 2008, was good in 2009 (made it to the Pro-bowl as a injury replacement), and in 2010 ranked as one of the worst CBs in the NFL and that was pretty much it.

In the end, my guess is the Cowboys hoped for more for the 1st round pick.
