Moore or McCarthy

Jerry will 100% let McCarthy walk wheather it's the right decision or not.

McCarthy is not helping himself. He makes questionable decisions and has horrible time management on literally a weekly basis.

Moore is homegrown and Jerry loves his homegrown guys. He's not going to just allow Kellen to walk into another teams arms.
I hope that is true, but my guess is that he lets Moore walk. I like Moore a lot + Dak is playing so well that messing with that seems like it would be unfortunate.

The end of the 2023 season will be a tipping point for this franchise.

Jerry will be in his 80's. Dak will be nearing the end of his current deal and will be looking at another bite of the apple. The o-line will be aging. Who knows how much Zeke will have left even if he is on the team.

These young defenders like Diggs and Parsons will need to get paid.

What's going to happen? Depends on how much success they have between now and then. And if Kellen is still here. I think Jerry will keep him in Dallas at least until then. That's when franchise changing decisions will need to be made
i think it will be after the 2022 seasons..big changes and decisions are coming..we are pretty young right now especially on defense and thats encouraging. But i feel these 2 years are the window..

so 2023 if KM is here and wants to be hc maybe that transition year you ,make that type of change..

Blue, I like you but there's no way on god green earth Kellen Moore will still be our QC 2023. He's the hottest assistant coach out there for pete sake (LOL). He'll like have his choice of opening after this season........

what QC lol

no i said 2022 he will be the oc but 2023 he could be the HC..

whys that bad scenario??you are replying to the wrong person i said AFTER the 2022 season changes can be made that's the window i see for the current team as is..you don't disrupt that and no its not crazy..Bienemy has stayed others stay no one just jumps ship at every opportunity. A Great OC doesn't make great HC most of the time..so its not done deal he leaves after this season..

These threads get Moore ridiculous by the minute. MM is a good coach. I recall many in here wanted the great Urban Meyers. How's the Jags doing? How's his scandal coming along? Moore needs to stay where he is because he's finally learning a position he was tossed into. Be careful what you wish for, Cowboys Nation certainly doesn't need another "Garrett" situation being that's what would happen tossing an OC whose ranked 21st in the league into a HC.

If Jerry wants to keep Kellen , he will keep Kellen. All he has to do is write him a check big enough to stay with a verbal promise that he's next in line as HC.

I don't know if Jerry will do it, but the process is easy enough

This is just history repeating itself.

Jerry already did this with Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett.

If he wants to keep Kellen Moore he’ll figure it out.

My bad on the QC but Bienemy and Kellen's situations are apples and oranges......Bienemy interviewed a couple times but has never rec'd an offer. In fact, the fact he was passed over pixxed off many in the league circle. Either way, I guess we'll see but I think gets an and offer after this season.

I don't think Kellen is Ready to be a head coach, McCarthy is not a great coach either but he's surrounded by Kellen and Quinn, His in clock management is awful, so is his coaching hires, Mike Nolan, if Kellen leaves- Guess who your OC will be,
Mikes not not dumb he has Kellen replacement in house Ben Mcadoo, The same guy that was Fire by the Giants and The Jags, Yes We want Mike
JMO

First....we have a lot more winning to do before either Moore or Quinn would be considered by other teams.

Secondly, it doesn't appear that many teams would be up for a coaching change this coming offseason.

Other than probably Chicago, which teams would look to make a move with a bad season?

Maybe Carroll hangs it up. Denver maybe?

Doesn't look like there will be many vacancies after this season, so based on numbers I expect to have the band together for this year and next at least.

It's nice to finally be in this spot again. No one was ever pining for 0-16 Rod to come take over their team lol.

Do you think, if pressed, to keep one or the other - will Jerry terminate McCarthy to keep Kellen and make him HC or let him go and keep McCarthy?

He might like to, but he can't. You can't terminate a winning coach to keep one of his assistants.

The McCarthy haters won't like it but gimme McCarthy for now. He is what this TEAM needs right now (not just the offense).

We went through this with Jason Garrett 10 years ago. Kellen may be a promising HC one day but I am not ready to let him run an entire team let while he goes through a few years of on-the-job training as HC. There is no guarantee that Kellen would be a huge upgrade over McCarthy as a HC. Do we know if Kellen won't be making the same time management mistakes? Do we know if Kellen can lead an entire team in game prep, practice, etc. during the week? As of now, we just know he's a good playcaller. I believe it just works with McCarthy and Kellen together right now. McCarthy allows Kellen to do what he does best - handle the offense and playcalling while McCarthy does the other stuff a HC has to do.

If some other team wants Kellen then so be it. The guy has some potential but at the end of the day, he still barely has 4 years of coaching experience (sound familiar? Ex: Garrett)

And if Dak is becoming a great/elite QB that people think he is, I would not worry about losing Kellen. The truly elite QBs can pretty much run their own offense once they are established vets.
What exactly has MM done. He has mismanaged every clock and timeout situation and made extremely questionable 4th down calls. He also left Brady way too much time at the end of the game. He is no genius on field manager.

There is no salary cap for coaches ....... Keep the entire staff together for a few years.

I may not like Mike's game management ...... But I like how this team is ready to play no matter what the circumstances. Any other year we lose multiple starters would be used as an excuse with the former staffs including the triplets staffs.

Jerry will let Moore walk to prove he was right hiring McCarthy .

Is there an offensive coordinator in the NFL right now who would not be successful with the weapons and OL the Cowboys have?

That is not to take away anything from Moore. I assume he helped acquire the weapons and helped to train them. He is calling the plays.

Sort of like Quinn as DC in Seattle. Pretty easy to call plays and prepare when the defense is loaded.

His team is 3-1 and looking pretty good despite missing some players due to injury/suspension/Covid. And the 2020 season was a miracle just getting that team to 6 wins with everything going on that year. A HC's job isn't just on Sundays...it's about what they do during the week too. Running practices, meetings with the staff, etc.

Jerry will fire McCarthy and Dallas will be the first team with Tandem Head Coaches, Moore the Head Coach of Offense, Quinn Head Coach of Defense.
