Moore or McCarthy

I believe that Jerry will make Kellen Moore the highest paid OC in the league if he has to. I think Moore will accept this offer instead of leaving for the uncertainty of a desperate losing franchise.

I don't think Moore is ready for that jump and I suspect he agrees....for now.

It doesn't mean he's Not head coach material either.
And how did anyone know Sean Payton was .. i don't recall the flood gates for Payton when made his bid for HC jobs, when only low market Saints being the
top interest.

And how do we know Kellen cannot be a Payton, Sean McVey, Klingsbury.. ? With the chance to be one of hottest, new young offensive mind HC..

- And this isn't an outsider that you'd have to learn about him. This is a guy that is under your umbrella, he's inside your own organization, you should
have feel and vibes about his ability to organize, lead, adjust, his motivational skills, ability to attract and draw respect.
Just like any new HC, you have to chance that he has more pluses than minuses, and take that team to another higher level than
the same ole walk around status quo.

Like I said before Payton had 18 years on his resume and Kliff 11 years, McVay 9 before becoming a HC. And Moore.. 3. You finally see an actual team being built and developed and a real plan and think McCarthy has nothing to do with this.? 1.4 seasons since the Garrett debacle and already a night and day difference. Ready to just throw that back in Jerry's hands? That's exactly what happens with a 3 year coach. The old Mentor/protege route... AGAIN! You don't factor in Jerry when talking about the next golden boy!

Another funny fact is because Payton won in NO doesn't mean he wins here. Again the Jerry factor. And that factor gets much larger with an addition like Kellen Moore. No matter the expectations or potential.

It sounds more like fool's gold!

for me...mccarthy.
the development and growth of kellen moore as a player caller is 100% a direct result of Big Mc being the hc and giving moore the encouragement and freedom as oc...to be the oc.
it never happened under garrett.
the creativity started under mccarthy.
i like kellen....but i didn't under garrett.
give me the football guy...Big Mc.

People were calling for his head under Jason Garrett. And there was no talk of greatness last year? Now he's a can't miss HC after 4 games with a wealth of talent?

exactly.
we've seen what happens when we ditch the veteran football coach for a young,up and comer at o.c.

yup.. same exact thing. Young smart up and coming coach with Jerry teaching him the ropes.

Kellen had the no.1 offense in NFL in total yards .and I believe 3rd in scoring.in 2019, his very first rookie year as OC
...and that was before McCarthy even arrived in 2020. That had nothing to do McCarthy.

I would rather McCarthy right now. Moore is a strong prospect for the future (2-3 years).

The smart decision is to do everything you have to to keep Kellen....but history shows Jerry doesn't make the right choice when it comes to making the hard decisions.

Jerry hates paying coaches, especially paying them not to coach, so... I think he keeps Mike.

Which is fine with me, because any good OC would have success as long as he has these players and Philbin.

The wild card is that Dak is really close to and likes Kellen so much. But I think the money still wins out.

Jerry will 100% let McCarthy walk wheather it's the right decision or not.

McCarthy is not helping himself. He makes questionable decisions and has horrible time management on literally a weekly basis.

Moore is homegrown and Jerry loves his homegrown guys. He's not going to just allow Kellen to walk into another teams arms.

Moore did interview for both the Eagles and Boise State head coaching jobs this past offseason though. Philly passed and Moore decided against a college job and stayed in Dallas.

Things that will happen a lot over the next few months, even as the ream has success.

Fans will keep wanting a winning coach fired just to keep and inexperienced coach.

We will get….trade Gallup….threads, until they don’t, then it will be…Jerry should have traded Gallup…threads

Jaylon is gone, so we will still get the he sucked threads anyway.
As then there will be the next player up threads to hate on.

The sad thing is the application of the "Peter Principle." Moore will end up being promoted from the OC position in which he thrives, up to the level of his incompetence as a HC. Inevitabilities of this sort have sunk many an organization.

In Kellen Moore, I see the attributes of a great Head Coach.

What makes Moore special compared to your run of the mill OC on a successful football team is that he brings more than just experience despite his age. Kellen Moore brings innovation. He is doing things that are new. Some are not completely new but he has tweaked it so that it works for his offense.

Putting McGovern at fullback and having him choose his assignment based on movement is pure brilliance. In effect, you have side to side pulling guards that are blowing up the D-line and creating huge holes for the RB's.

Go back and look at some of Zeke's runs. See where he is when someone finally touches him. I would submit that Zeke's success over the last couple games is just as much a result of Kellen's schemes as it is his conditioning.

A lot of the things that he was doing that year in regards to motion, we kept. But thankfully, Garrett's penchant for execution over creative advantage is gone.

Again, how much of that has to do with Moore and how much has to do with McCarthy, I can't say. I do know that McCarthy has had a lot of success running offenses, so I think what we're doing is a marriage between what Moore was doing well and West Coast principles that have been incorporated into that. McCarthy wanted to keep the language the same, but it's easy to tell that the offense has been upgraded. Again, not sure who deserves credit for that, but I think it's both of them.

However, we have no idea if he'll be incompetent as a head coach. We just also have no idea if he'll be good at it.

I know KM gets all the credit for the "creative" offense but there are many west coast concepts to our offense now that wasn't there before Fat Mike was hired. I can't definitively say it was all Fat Mike who put those in our offense but seeing some of the plays GB run in our offense tells me MM has had his hand in our current offense.

wont happen

anyone who thinks every great Coordinator is ready for the big time and will run to a hC spot need to see teams like KC their OC has stayed way past his prime even with limited rooney rule options..i dont believe KM is ready hes to green to take over the entire team YET. MM will be here through the end of 22 book that he will get his real shot to turn around the old garett regime..2020 wasn't fair..

if im Jerry im trying my best to keep this staff together and as much as the core team through 2022..make the biggest changes in 2023 when most of th big deals have to be cut etc and some chance for small renovation of the team can take place..thats when coaching changes can be considered IMO

bienemy has interviewed for every hc job under the sun lol
