More Cringe worthy: Zeke's 'Feed Me' or Mo's incomplete?

True, but how often did those players do that in a game? Two or three times at most. I do not want to see this feed me 12 times a game or the novelty will wear off. It will have more effect done less after a big play IMO.

Anyways, it will not bother me if done once or 20 times, just seems a bit over the top to me.

Now that you mention it, yes, Zeke did do that quite a bit last night. Maybe it was just the excitement of having a breakout game. My guess is the coaches or one of his teammates (Witten?) will approach him about toning it down.

Why not? If he does it every time we get a first down, well then that means that we got a first down. Would you rather us not get first downs instead?

Not singling you out or anything, but just curious as to why it is a big deal when something good came out of the play and he is celebrating. I would rather see that than a bad play.

Can't believe so many people are ok with this idiotic gesture. I guess if he is a Cowboy it must be a great thing.

"Are you serious with this thread?"

Ya, I am. It is embarrassing. I can't wait to see him celebrate his trivial and vacuous accomplishment when we are down 20 in a game. Maybe then you guys will get it.

Any idea of what the median age is around here?

I'm guessing some where above middle aged and right below old

I don't remember when exactly he started doing it but Mike was as cocky as they come. It wasn't just after a TD, it was often after a routine 1st down reception AND he'd make a FAR bigger show of it than Zeke.

Point being, none of this really matters. And I'm still not sold on Zeke being worthy of the 4th overall pick, so it's not like I'm an apologist for the guy.

My point is that opinions vary on whether it matters or not. People are free to feel that it doesn't and just as free to believe that it does.

Again, I know which tact his coaches will be taking about it.

I am torn, which celebration is more cringe worthy in your estimation?

Zeke's 'Feed Me' after every first down carry, with the First Down sign on top of it or Mo's exaggerated 'Incomplete' sign after balls that sail well out of bounds or that had absolutely nothing to do with his coverage.

I gotta go with Zeke's horrible celebration but it was not as obvious as I thought.

Both never understood humility, humbleness or decorum.
If only their dads had taught them that ...

I dont care about either of them because when they do it, it obviously was a positive play and I'll take a positive play every darn time.

Suck it up, quit whining, and quit watching if you don't like it.

So I should quit watching after 35 years because a couple of selfish idiots are acting like brats?

Not whining either...why everyone keeps saying that is beyond me. Can't say anything critical about a Cowboy I guess.

Was thinking the same ******* thing. Both are annoying. One ******* is eating when not getting a first down. The other ******* is waving incomplete on a 0 yard pass on 1st and 10.

I doubt his coaches will talk to him about it unless it draws a taunting penalty. You don't mess with a player's confidence. Seems a bit silly but if that's the kind of stuff that gets Zeke feeling like he's the baddest dude on the field, let him be.

Imagine if a coach told Irvin to "tone it down" and act more professionally. Notice how Jimmy, a psychological genius, allowed Mike to be Mike.

OK. Let's keep an eye on it for the future and see if it increases, stays the same, or decreases. That will give us our best indicator of how the coaches feel and what, if anything, they did about it.

Gives perspective of where you are coming from
I like Dez's X....I liked Ware's Hulk Smash....I even liked Irvin's first down.

If it was just a first down sign...I would be ok with it. The spooning food into his chubby chipmunk face just bugs me. It speaks to a 'me' attitude and it is way bigger than just him. I have see him miss high fives with teammates because he was too concerned with eating...lol

It's because they're not intelligent enough to understand that not everybody thinks the exact same way that they do. And they also lack the self awareness to know that their view isn't always the 'right' or the 'only' one.

I must say I wouldn't mind the Zeke thing so much if it was done at key moments of the game where a first down or a big run was a significant play in affecting the outcome of the game...meaning at crucial moments (like the way the Playmaker used to). Doing it after every routine first down on say a 2nd and short on our 30 yard line...that's where it is truly absurd. Just like with scoring a TD, act like you've been there and that you'll do it again. He's gonna get himself targeted for some cheap shots if he keeps the BS up...and I wouldn't feel in the least bit sorry for him...my two cents.
