More Cringe worthy: Zeke's 'Feed Me' or Mo's incomplete?

i didnt notice the feed me one, but the first down one every time is too much.
What is he going to do if he actually does get better??

Coaches need to stop all that celebrating after plays.
After a nice run he would twirl his wrist toward his mouth like he was being fed from a spoon. It looked like he was looking at the sidelines while he was doing it. I took it as he was telling the coaches to keep feeding him the ball.

ok i think I remember that, but had no idea what he was doing lol.

I disagree with you in it not being disrespectful, but I do agree that the vast majority of the league over celebrates. To me, it only makes the individual player look bad because they're too stupid to realize that you don't pat yourself on the back for doing your job.

I use to love the 90's Cowboys' business-like approach. They celebrated when they achieved their biggest goals, touchdowns and championships. And they did it together, not individually.

You do realize Emmitt kept every ball he ever scored a touchdown with and they had to create a specific rule for him so he wouldn't take his helmet off after every touchdown so people could see him.

Not even mentioning Irvin

I don't mind the first down signals or the so called feed me signals. Both show some swagger, and I sure as he'll never had a problem with Irvin's first down celebrations.

Re the Zeke "feed me" signal, to me it looks more like 'eating up the yards'. Either way, I'm glad he's not just another scared to have swagger Cowboy. We need to get back to playing with swagger, and I love the players that embrace the 90's like Zeke...

I am torn, which celebration is more cringe worthy in your estimation?

Zeke's 'Feed Me' after every first down carry, with the First Down sign on top of it or Mo's exaggerated 'Incomplete' sign after balls that sail well out of bounds or that had absolutely nothing to do with his coverage.

I gotta go with Zeke's horrible celebration but it was not as obvious as I thought.
Dez mugging for the camera after his TD. He was a massive fail in this game for a #1 WR.

It's like those guys that celebrate a tackle when their team is down by 30.

*cough* Michael Irvin *cough*

Sure, he did it. But he didn't do it on every play like some people want to insinuate. And he was also an established Pro Bowler and Super Bowl Champion with skins on the wall too, wasn't he? Or was he a still wet behind the ears rookie who had gotten himself benched the week before? Just so I understand the parameters?

Celebrating a TD is a lot different than celebrating after every 1st down against a bunch of backups, especially when it's a rookie doing it.

Lol. That image hit a nerve and I knew it was but it actually sums up everything I wanted to tell you. More so than just an image of grandparents dancing it's not just that. As much as Zeke's and Mo's celebrations are actions of accomplishments it's more than just that.

However I'll need to get back to a computer for me to properly reply to your comments. Cutting and pasting like you did isn't happening on my phone.

I'll await a more clear response when you get to a computer as this one's not making too much sense.

I realize that he kept the footballs. And many players do that. And that's completely different from what we're talking about here. You do realize that, right?

As for the helmet thing? That came later in his career, obviously after some marketing people got ahold of him and suggesting it. And I was never a fan of that move either.

I'm ok with celebrations after extraordinary plays: sacks, ints, tds, safeties maybe a 58 yd game winning field goal. But ordinary plays seem kinda amateurish. If qbs celebrated after every completed pass ...yawn. Or if the linemen celebrated every block...yawn

With that being said, it's the least of our problems. We got bigger fish to fry. Sizzle sizzle

I mistook the "feed me" for a "train keeps rolling" gesture. I guess "feed me" seems a little more "me" than "us," but whatever.

Some are saying "does he have to do it EVERY first down." But realize that this whole offensive plan (like it was in 2014) is premised upon ball control and long drives, so every first down is a key part of the success. When he helps the Cowboys earn a fresh set of downs--even if by picking up just a few yards--everything is going exactly according to plan, and I don't begrudge him celebrating that.

Zeke already said he was signaling the coaches to keep feeding him the ball. As for him showing emotion after making 1st downs. I got no problem with that hell I get fired of each 1st down as we moved the ball down the field keeping defense off the field. The kid plays with emotion and I'm ok with that. Only when your action start causing penalties like excessive celebration do I have a problem with it. I want Zeke to be who he is not which is an emotional player not become some creature fans want him to be. I said the same with Dez and Irvin and others that have played for this franchise.

I finally get it. I thought Zeke was reeling in a fish. Feed me makes more sense.

I don't remember when exactly he started doing it but Mike was as cocky as they come. It wasn't just after a TD, it was often after a routine 1st down reception AND he'd make a FAR bigger show of it than Zeke.

Point being, none of this really matters. And I'm still not sold on Zeke being worthy of the 4th overall pick, so it's not like I'm an apologist for the guy.

The Cowboys have won two games in a row and have found their next franchise quarterback, and there's an eight page argument going on over player celebrations I've barely even thought about?

I'm not calling anybody out here, I'm just wondering why some people just can't be happy. What Zeke and Mo do after a play is no worse than all the other stuff going on all over the league.

I see the "feed me" as in Popeye eating his spinach.....growing up and getting stronger!

With that said, it is going to get real old soon to me, pick your spots son, pick your spots.................

I have no problem with players doing signature moves. Michael Irvin had his exaggerated first down gesture, Deion had his high-step, Dez throws up the X, even DeMarcus Ware used to pound his fists down to the ground after a sack.

True, but how often did those players do that in a game? Two or three times at most. I do not want to see this feed me 12 times a game or the novelty will wear off. It will have more effect done less after a big play IMO.

Anyways, it will not bother me if done once or 20 times, just seems a bit over the top to me.
