Glenn "Stretch" Smith was on the radio today (GAC) and gave his reason for picking Warmack over Cooper.

"If you lock them in a room and let them fight it out, Warmack would be the one that comes out of the rooming standing".

If that is the criteria for playing in the NFL in 2013, then Larry, Randy and Erik Williams should still be playing. I don't care how old they are now, those guys would kick most people's arse even today.

That's his opinion.
I still take Cooper.

If fighting was an indication of football skills then lets sign a bunch of MMA fighters to play for the Cowboys.

LA would still kill them.

Stretch's point was that the Cowboys need some guys with an attitude. He said we have too many nice guys on this team. We need some guys that are mean - that set the tone for the rest of the guys.

Nate Newton today talking to Ian and Durrett basically said it as well.

Sylvester Williams says that Jonathan Cooper has a never give-in, "I'm going to beat you" attitude and that he is a nasty player to practice against everyday.

Yeah, I saw this too. Changed my perception of Cooper.

IDK, the Manster still looks like he could snap most peoples necks like a bread stick.

Sounds good to me.

Agree, but I would have to put LA at the top of the food chain.

There is an old saying in regards to getting fights that there is always someone out there that is bigger, meaner and tougher; however, IMO, LA is at the end of the line (i.e. The buck stops here).

Nate says that he wouldn't even warm up with Larry or Erik Williams before games because they "hurt' him.

Cooper's real good. Warmack's better. He's the best player in this class.

Luke Joeckel will probably end up going #1 overall. There is no way he was a better T than Warmack was a G. Not even close. If Warmack played T everyone would be talking about the 2nd pick and who it may be, because the 1st pick would be a foregone conclusion.

I actually think this a great point. The attitude part, not the who's-a-better-fighter part. The idea that Warmack's got a nasty attitude is one of the things I like best about him as an option. We've got a lot of good guys on this roster, but we don't have all that many 'enforcer' types.

I saw Warmack "fightin' it out" against NFL caliber athletes in the Georgia game, and the Georgia players were winning as often as not. Down home witticisms and country bumpkin mentality is probably why Stretch hasn't has a NFL job since Parcells gave Lacewell the boot. Was this the same Southeastern regional scout who brought us Tony Dixon, Dwayne Goodrich, Eb Ekuban and Sherman Williams?

These two are rated pretty evenly. Since this is the case, give me the better athlete in Cooper.

They're both tremendous players, I just prefer Cooper as he is more athletic. Very similar to Tyron Smith in that regard.... I'd love to see those two lined up together, would be an awesome sight.

If we are going to play this game, then put my money on Rae Carruth, Terreal Bierria, or Anthony Smith.
