How many times have we seen Dez not control a ball well coming down? 2 or 3 times?

Now all of a sudden the guy who before last year was the best in the NFL at finding pay dirt can't catch a ball in the endzone? Please.

Dez and our Oline is incredible and this thread ******* sucks.
2-3 time just today . I love Dez attitude but he just doesn't get the job done for what he's being paid .

foolish post.

The giants defense is good and will get to a lot of teams this year. Its too bad people don't follow the nfl to understand these kind of things and not just the cowboys.

What is annoying is fans and media constantly saying the line is the best, that just motivated the giants today. This team as a whole is overexposed. It does no one any good unless your last name is jones.

The o-line was well below average and Dez was invisible.

You can add Zeke to that. He did nothing special.

A rookie, first start... He's not Emmitt in 93 dude..

Dez has been over rated for a while
Should never have been paid what he was

Of course the most over rated aspect of this team is our HC

From 2012-2014 nobody in the league scored more Touchdowns than Dez Bryant.

He breaks his foot and has a bad season because of it and his own fan base is calling him overrated.

All of Dez Bryants shortcomings come from a coaching staff that sticks him in 1 spot and let's teams double him all day.

Dez is a monster.

if romo played today he would have corrected a number of stuff that went on and found a way to get the ball to dez, he always does.

he is not here so we get what we get and what we will probably get is mostly losses.

This is a no brainer, Dez is far over rated than the oline. Dez is not elite anymore and today he didn't even play about average.

The OL didn't open huge holes against a talented defense for Zeke obviously, but they made a nice pocket for Dak most of today I thought. Not flawless, but very good pass protection. Dez did squat so the answer to the question is obvious.

It's evident Dez can no longer jump . He use to be great at jumping and attacking the ball at its highest point . It seems like such a struggle now .

We play 50/50 football without Romo and it usually ends with losses.

Today looked like an Alex Smith from 3 years ago game plan.

Dez got 5 targets. That's ridiculous. If he is double covered, we don't throw to him because our offense is predicated on taking "what the defense" gives us. Gints gave us throws to Witt and Bease.

Most defenses will take that all day long.

It's easy to defend Dez. Just double team him and we won't throw to him. Hard to make plays when you don't get the ball.

I won't even get into what could have been...
I'm not saying I want this to happen but for all the capologists out there I have a question. If Romo is done after next year and I use next year because I believe in other threads we've discussed we can release or trade him until after next season, then how much would it cost the cap to move or cut Bryant?

I don't want to lose Martin or Collins to keep Dez if Romo isn't playing. So lets say they both leave/cut/traded after next season. Is that possible with their salary and the salary cap. anybody know?

None of them were good throws..

It was the worst. Second was OK. Maybe a little late on the release. Would've been tough, Dez was never really open.

Third was the best pass but good coverage. Dez never seemed to get a good read on it. Not gonna knock him, he's made his living on making spectacular plays.

The throw to the end zone that was knocked down would have been 6 if it was thrown higher.

I feel your pain.

The production of both was disappointing, at a time when they needed to play their best, in support of their rookie QB. I'll be more comfortable when game 5 gets here; we should match up better, and at least the pass protection looked good and hopefully will keep both our QBs upright.

You do realize that once we took a lead we more or less abandoned the run and starting throwing almost exclusively, ironically when we had several of our best runs. That is on the coaching staff. The way this game was going, we had it set up to just pound them the rest of the third and fourth quarters, yet for some inexplicable reason we decided to go with a 3 to 1 pass to run ratio.
