thats mostly because when 5 men are asked to block 7 the odds are not good.

the giants said they were going to stop the run, they attacked it, it worked.

the line is not overrated or bad. The giants happen to be a good defense.

98 Harrison.. I would trade our whole DL for that guy.

is he quick twitch? could he have played on tampa's line in 98?

We don't need size at defensive tackle rod marinelli is going to teach our quick twitch guys the swim move.

you know like he did in detroit.

The throw to the end zone that was knocked down would have been 6 if it was thrown higher.

That was a bad throw.. Cromartie has the inside and Dak should have gone outside. From the look on his face, he knew it.

The fact that, if I remember correctly, they then ran on second down predictably and got stuffed, like they always do wasting the down forcing another 3rd and distance was more annoying..

Except for Free.. Free stunk up the joint..

And run blocking was garbage this game... They keep saying the Giants stacked the line this game, but every team did that all last year and McFadden had a good year.. Run blocking was trash..

Free is trash.. With that said he is still ok against guys who can't bull rush.

With that said.. Most teams have about 2 or 3 Doug Free's on their OL.

Heck Darion Weems, David Arkin, and I'm sure there are other terrible former Cowboys OLinemen are on other teams 53 man roster.

Nobody is taken anyone else's Oline over ours.

It wasn't a great pass, but it was 40 yards downfield, not easy just putting it on a dime from that distance. If he had thrown it to the outside Dez would have had a much better chance though.

Lolll

He's not quick twitch at all! He just clogs the running lanes. Something none of our quick twitch guys could do.

Our d tackles weren't twitching quick enough to tackle Vereen and Jennings.

I agree.. Our OL is great..

But Free was awful and your only as strong as your weakest link. If this continues, he's got to go.. This wasn't even average..

We are once again in the predictable play-calling routine... 2014 is not returning..

What's more overrated? This offensive line couldn't hold up against a 3 man pass rush and Dez never comes down with the ball when it counts.
Ummm...

that's a tough one.

Both?

I never really expected to win this game in DAKs 1st start.

But I really was surprised at the OL failure to open any holes for Zeke.

Unexpected failure there.

Dez has always been overrated. He disappears for entire games, and doesn't consistently come down with contested balls. He's a second-tier WR.

The chances were bad throws

He absolutely should have had the TD catch that got overturned. No reason he couldn't lock that in, but in a disturbing trend he has another "was it a catch: play. He has to lead the league in disputed catches and it isn't even close.

I will give a rookie QB a lot more slack than a 6-7 year vet WR who is supposed to be one of the best in the game at his position ans is paid accordingly.

Did anyone watch hard knocks when Dez scored in the preseason on the Rams?

The corner for the Rams asked his coach what he did wrong and the coach said you played him perfect but that guy is just a beast.

Meanwhile on Cowboyszone... He's overrated...

I blame Garrett and Linehan for this because they do let teams take him out of games but Dez is one of the best if not the best in football.

What is Antonio Brown doing here besides eating double coverage and not getting in open space ever? You think he scores like Dez does? Heck no.

Bad is over-stated.. That's why I didn't really get upset about it..

As far as Dez is concerned is he didn't drop it. Cromartie had the position on the ball and Dez catching that would have been pretty difficult..

Yea, that is annoying, I think the were trying to call a game to protect Dak. I think that backfired. It's also comical how the narrative of the game would be different if the ball was thrown a little better. At any rate, Dak played well, and hopefully the coaches can get Dez involved in next game earlier. It's 1 loss, by 1 point.

This is crazy talk.

Our OL is incredible.. Look at other teams OL play.

Dez plays for a coaching staff that lets defenses take him away.. It is what it is.

I didn't expect much in the run game unless we punished them with the deep pass because the G-Men stacked 8 or 9 in the box. I didn't have a problem with the one 'drop' by Dez in the end zone. It wasn't good pass and he didn't really drop it...just didn't have control of it when he went out of bounds.

What we did see was the same offensive playcalling where we used Witten on screen passes and we didn't see to want to take advantage of the Giants stacking the box.

First half play calling was much better. 19 passes, 19 runs. Went almost all pass after taking the the lead in the third.

It's a difficult catch, he's not going to make that 10 out of 10...
