Next time you go, spend more time on worthwhile purchases because that was entirely too much "good for you" food and about that invitation to dinner on Saturday, I'm busy.
Two things I am a sucker for and am glad there's not one closer than an hour from me and I am shopping for one so I've got to be careful or hungry or have a tenant for that empty box of Tide. Mrs. Thinster Key Lime cookies and peanut butter pretzel nuggets. Those cookies are great! I made the mistake of ordering from Amazon when I ran out and got cookie dust instead. This is like fairy dust only sweeter. The cookies are really thin and crisp so they don't ship well.
I am making my Costco trip Saturday after my grandsons' swim meet that begins this Saturday for 7 straight Saturdays. For a single person, a FoodSaver is a requirement as 4 pork tenderloins come in a package and 4 filets as well. I am usually a bone-in rib eye guy but I've been marinating filets in the original Stake & Ale marinade for years and it's outstanding and their prices can't be beat, the only drawback is there is no aging on their steaks so I just get the filets and the rack of lamb, which is the best I've found anywhere. Their organic chicken is a deal and the wings are perfect for one serving. I get the halibut and tuna and freeze that. I left out the cheese purchases out of respect for Colo and his "condition" and he seems to get a tad testy when the subject is brought up. And Costco's bakery items are out of the park, their French baguettes are perfection.
So, here ya are. Ya got RGV with his pumpkin seeds, chickpeas and floating aquarium greens or you've got CC and his meat, meat, cookies, fish and bakery goods, so, who ya gonna call? I didn't even get to the liquor store or wine department because I didn't want to rub it in. He was just too easy but he was handicapped, he had his wife with him and they can flat ruin a trip to Costco. Mine would actually take stuff out of the basket that I had acquired and put it back on the shelf like I was a toddler. And all I could do was look at all the other grown men crying.
