Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who decided to stop in and start the week by visiting this thread.
Anybody watch the scrimmage yesterday? Didn't see it here locally, which was a drag but it wouldn't have mattered if they had broadcasted it here or not, as it turns out.
Well, a fairly casual weekend turned into a kind of busy one. Didn't really do anything on Friday, just stayed home and relaxed. Saturday, ABQJr called me up and asked if we wanted to come over and have supper, drink some beer and sit around the fire. So we did that, stayed up way too late but was a really good time. Don't do that enough. Then yesterday, my youngest Boy, was supposed to close on his first house last week but that didn't happen, got delayed for probably a couple of weeks. He wanted to do a gender reveal at the new house but that kinda went down the drain. So he and my Wife, they food prep for the week on Sundays and about 5 pm yesterday, the Boy just decided he didn't want to wait anymore so we called up the inlaws, the kids and we threw together a supper and we did it last evening. Turns out we will have the first Girl Grandbaby in the Family and my Wife is crazy excited about this.
Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, I hope you are all doing well.
Everybody, please have a great week and I hope that everybody is recovering from the big blow Laura. Stay safe everybody, it's getting harder to do that lately, seems like.
Everyone, have a great week!
Congrats on the girl grand baby ABQ. She will have you wrapped around her pinky. I have one and 5 grandsons.
She has first dibs to my lounge chair when I’m not home and is authorized to boot any of her brothers out of my chair so she can sit. Oh and she uses that authorization often lol
Today is good Monday. No Her-icane in the gulf so we good.
Have a great week everyone.
I sure try, but I'm allergic to mornings. It is what I have feared, not fears. I can't trust myself.Good morning Pops and Popsadoodles. That which I have fears has come upon us... Monday. Stay strong and gut it out until we reach Tuesday.
Congirltulations!Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who decided to stop in and start the week by visiting this thread.

That's a lot of molding! For your sake, I hope the cop isn't some Jackie Gleeson wanna be.Morning Pops and friends, from the Upper East Side.
Dark, rainy morning in Manhattan. Get to hand unload about 20,000 lineal feet of mouldings at a job site. Hoping that once this cop exits Starbucks, he doesn't come tell me to move my truck.
I was going to congratulate you for getting your score up, but I can tell we're back in golf math. I hate to hear that Leon. You were just having a few off games or coastal home withdrawal. You'll get back to normal. Have faith.Morning, Pops and peeps. Nothing much going on around here. My golf handicap has risen from 19.4 to 23.4 in recent weeks because I'm playing so poorly. Or maybe it's because I'm taking all my penalty strokes instead of mulligans. My actual handicap is having a club in my hand. Oh well, as long as I still enjoy it.
Starbuck's is open??? (ok, I am not a deep thinker, but that's what I took from your note -- they're still closed or only offering drive through in our area).Morning Pops and friends, from the Upper East Side.

Guess I'll have to cut down that big ol pecan tree in the front yard.Well Pops and Popsadoodles. You're going to need a whole lot of lumber, Leon unless you were looking to build an RV arc. As always, thank you for your for your positive energy ABQ. I hate to admit it, but I'm so southern that I start looking for a sweater when the temperatures drop below 70.
Have a good Wednesday!
Heeeeeeyyyyyyyy, what about the rest of us?Morning Pops...
Gonna have to give each kid a ladle on a stick to take their candy.Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who decided to stop in and visit the thread today.
So, it's hump day and we are at the half way point of the work week with a long holiday weekend coming up on us. This is the last real push of Summer and after Labor day, we start to see Fall breaking through. This usually means Football and the home stretch of Baseball and the start of College Basketball. It means, around here, that we start to see more meals consisting of meat and potatoes, Roast Beef and Mashed Potatoes, more Stews and Soups, just more feel good food, to me. It also usually means the biggest Holidays in our Country and so Xmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween. This is going to be challenging because these are all very social Holidays, tied to family and friends. I don't know what's going to happen there. I know that in our family, we will celebrate Xmas and Thanksgiving with our family, like we always do. That's who we are and I don't think I could stop it even if I wanted to. But Halloween, that's going to be interesting. I mean, it's a Holiday where you already wear a mask so will that go off as normal? I wonder. I worry more about the adults and the Halloween Parties you always see, more then I do the trick or treaters. I hope the little kids get out and do their thing. I think they could be fine if they do but I'm not sure people will feel the same. It's going to be interesting for sure. We will probably just plan to put together Halloween care packages for the boys, so to speak. Think I'll start shopping for that stuff this weekend.
Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, I hope you are all enjoying a great week! If not, change it up!
Everybody, I hope you are working strong, fighting through it and showing everybody why we won't get beat down by this virus crap. Double down and make it tap out! Everybody, have a great rest of your day. Tomorrow is Thursday, the last real work day and then we are on to Friday which kicks off the long weekend! Simple things work folks. Plan to do some little something that makes you happy. If nothing else, pick out a good old movie and plan a supper, even if it's just you, and make a night of it. Buy a bottle of wine or go buy some good beer and just sit down and eat a good meal and have a few drinks and maybe watch a great show. I think I might make stuffed Bellpeppers this weekend and maybe watch Operation Petticoat with Carey Grant and Tony Curtis. Haven't seen that one in a long time and I always enjoy it. Everybody, have a great day!
ok ok... Morning Pops and the rest of usHeeeeeeyyyyyyyy, what about the rest of us?
